I :wub: it!! Hope she can have some success with it! Unfortunetly I think 'I want candy' will completely ruin her chances if it is the first UK single. Terrible idea. I was a big spice fan, and a Mel C fan, but I can't stand 'I want candy' and I've only heard like 20 seconds of it. I never want to hear it again though!

IWISH SHE DID as well in the uk as she does in some european parts like germany etc but wasnt she big in portugal also

 

yeah she was here, her song "First Day Of My Life" was used in a popular soap here, which meant the song rocketed to #1 in the airplay charts, and people made her album platinum by spending 9 weeks at #1. Her follow-up Better Alone did great on the basis of the first single.

Apparently Mel C is on Al Murray's Happy Hour tonight at 10.15pm.

 

I'm presuming she'll perform "I Want Candy".

I have to admit that I quite like 'The Moment You Believe' and besides 'First Day Of My Life' and 'Next Best Superstar' I don't normally like her stuff however, whilst I haven't yet heard The UK single 'I Want Candy' to be honest I can't see her being succesful.

Hmmm, I actually LOVE this track. :o Which is weird because i'm not really a Melanie fan, I loved Next Best Superstar, but then the album was c**p, which put me right off.... -_-

She was good on Al Murray last night. I was expecting I Want Candy to be terrible, but it worked quite well. It was nice to see her doing something fun, but I can't see it being a big hit for her, or the right song to launch an album.

i can't wait for the album, i will definetly be buying it!
