Well from the version i've heard of Brianstorm i'd say it's more IBTYLGOTDF than WTSGD. It's just a typical Arctic Monkeys track but its swayed away from the sound and lyrics of the first album and onto something else. :lol:

 

I can see the album ending up a bit like Franz Ferdinand's second LP tbh, ala good week sales and then after that it fades away into obscurity. :lol: I'm hoping that's not the case because The Monkeys certinley have more to offer in terms of music than Franz so i'm hoping it doesn't end up that way. :lol:

It seems though Brianstorm is being released for download two weeks before it's physical release, which well i'm not too bothered about! :lol: I'd love it to go #1 on downloads alone but I don't think the majority of The Arctics fans are the type to download as they want the physical release. :lol: But then again with in being a lead single it should have good sales so we'll just see I guess...

 

Also, the single is an EP isn't it? :unsure: So will it be chart eligible? I know the new rules were implemented at the beginning of the new year but I can't quite remember what the rules were foe EPs. :unsure:

Is very very dark though compared to the stuff off the first album. It reminds me very much so of Vampires though! :o But in a good way. ^_^

Yep I also think it's a potential #1. It's got that extra edge to it that Leave Before The Lights Come On, didn't have. It's just a huge record which shows a change in The Arctic Monkeys musical direction. I mean they're releasing the track as an EP and knowing that their fanbase is pretty strong i'd like to think, this is a future #1. ^_^

It's maybe not as good as I expected it to be (I like the live version a better) but I have listened to it 8 times in a row so I still like it a lot :lol: And it's growing on me each time :wub: Considering how much the last EP sold and the fact that all of the tracks are brand new this time this should hopefully sell very well indeed :cheer:

Zane Lowe played it TWICE in a row last night, which is something he's never done before with a single before. Then he played it again at the end of the show. Jo Whiley also played it twice on her show today as well. The response this single is getting at the moment seems to be REALLY positive, which well can only be good! :D ^_^
