34. Millennium
Released: 1998 (I've Been Expecting You)

Such a classic  One of the biggest hits of his carrer. It sold over a million worldwide, and even broke into the Billboard Hot 100. His first UK #1, and one of his best. This was originally much higher in my list, top 20 infact :o But through the months and months since I started I always change my opinion :teresa: In a few months, this could be in the top 20 again. ^_^ The best live performance was when he closed the Slane gig with it, but as it is not on youtube, here it is from Manchester. :yahoo:

33. The Actor
Released: 2006 (Rudebox)

My 3rd favourite on Rudebox behind only the 80's & 90's. The more I hear it, the more I love it. It is such an brilliant song, the whole arrangment of the track, from the music to the Madonna sounding women. It is just very sophisticated and mature sounding. One of the best he's written in years, and Jups and Tessa's favourite on Rudebox.

Here is a good vid made by a fan with a mix of all his vids.

Great choices Potty.

The Actor is far too low though. :nono:

95. King Of Bloke & Bird

Released: 2005 (Intensive Care Album)

I have always found this song rather boring but recently have really been enjoying it. Lyrically it is fantastic and his vocals are great on it.

This has to be onr of my favourites... really beautiful song & glad it made it to the album......even if it was at the end....

87: A Man For All Seasons

Released: 2003 (Johnny English soundtrack)

I remember when I went to see this film in the cinema and I had no idea Rob wrote a song for it. I think the film began with the song and I got so excited to hear a new Rob song and was wondering what it was. A really good catchy song though. I should really listen to it more often

Did Rob write this track or did he only sing it for the film.

Its a great song.

Great work on this Scotty ....wow.. you have some knowledge....you must be a fan for quite a while to know all those songs....I am still only discovering songs as I go along....he seems to have loads of them .

Edited by TessaT

Both songs (Millenium and The Actor) I expected to see higher in here. :P But, still very good placing.

32. Bag Full Of Silly
Released: 2005 (Tripping single)

This is such a brilliant song. It's very addictive and just gets better and better with each listen. So should've been on IC.

by Williams / Duffy
You a'right, how's it going yeah
Yeah fine fine
fine fine

Gloomy Manchester
Always raining
Full of chippie max
Entertainment
Groovy Madchester
June split the atom
0161
England Seattle

And I know I should have written it down
And southern comfort I've forgotten you somehow

Last night this girl in my bed
I was telling her what I said
When all I had was potential
And a head full of dreadful
With a bag full of silly
Walking through Picadilly
and I ...well anyway, anyway

Gloomy Worsley
Do so much to hurt me
Parts of Manchester
Make me feel dirty
Hacienda
On a gay night
Droppin' little fellas
To make me feel right

And I think about you now and then
When I'm talking towns to my friends

Last night this girl in my bed
I was telling her what I said
When all I had was potential
And a head full of dreadful
With a bag full of silly
Walking through Picadilly
and I.... well anyway, anyway

We're all made out of places
And I've been to a few
What I need now is an aerial view
Cos I can see for myself
That I cant see for myself
But oh... anyway, anyway

How I'd like to go to Manchester
To my surprise
8 5 hundred and 6
When I just close my eyes
Close my eyes
Close my eyes

ooh ooh ooh ohh

Last night this girl in my bed
I was telling her what I said
When all I had was potential
And a head full of dreadful
With a bag full of silly
Walking through Picadilly
And I .... well anyway, anyway

oh oh oh oh
ooh ooh ooh
oh oh
oh oh
hmm BFOS is an alright song not one of my favs though

31. Get a little High
Released: 2003 (Escapology US version & Sexed Up single)

Yet again, another amazing B-side which is better than loads of singles and album tracks. This track actually did make an album, but only the US version of Escapology (which is miles better than the actual version imo). This is better than over half of the songs on Escapology and should've been on the global version, but I don't know wether Rob had wrote it back when the album originally came out. <_< It was written with Boots, who also co-wrote Come Undone and Berliner Star. I hope they work together again someday. ^_^

Here is a great vid of a live performance and pics of Rob when he was a kid. ^_^

by Robbie Williams/Boots

Wake up in the middle of
In the thunder of a scream
And you realise that it was yours
You don't know what to tell them
'Cause you don't know where you've been
And you've been thereso many times before

It's only natural to feel like you're sinking
It's only human to be so unprepared

Don't worry baby, if you get a little high
It's just a phase to get you through getting by
So you get a little restless and you get a little wasted
It's just a little lite entertainment
Embrace it, it might just save your life

You always say you're sorry
But you never know what for
And it's been happening more and more
Act your age and not your shoe size
And blah blah blah blah blah
That's your role model slam the door

So it's only natural to feel the guilt of a nation
It's only human when you're young you're gonna cry

Don't worry baby, if you get a little high
It's just a phase to get you through getting by
So you get a little restless and you get a little wasted
It's just a little lite entertainment
Embrace it, it might just save your life

So where else can you go to
'Cause no one's given you the book
About what to say and how to feel and what you
Should and shouldn't have took

It's feelings that you fearing that's why
You step outside your mind
Don't look back 'cause if you don't crack
You get to sing this lulaby
You get to sing this lulaby

Don't worry baby, if you get a little high
It's just a phase to get you through getting by
So you get a little restless and you get a little wasted
It's just a little lite entertainment
Embrace it

Don't worry baby, if you get a little high
It's just a phase to get you through getting by
you do lots of complaining and do nothing to change it
well that's a little light entertainment
Embrace it, it just might save your life
Or it just might change your life

He had that cheeky smile at very young age

Great to watch this, thanks :cheer:

30. Toxic
Released: 2001 (Eternity/Mandalay single)

One of his best B-sides ever and one of his best songs ever lyrically. It's just amazing, and I love the epic ending. ^_^ One of his best, and would've fitted perfectly on Sing When You're Winnig.

Here is a great vid of it. :yahoo:

Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words can burn a happy home
It's true
I've got words for you
The past is done
It's gone forever
Don't tell me my pain is pleasure
You, you haven't got a clue

(Chorus)
I, I wanna cry but I don't make a sound
I am your child and your child is feeling down
Everybody's toxic in this town

All God's children fade and die
In the name of let's get high
Amen, you'd do it again
I pray to lord, my soul, my kid
When you're coming down I'll be asleep
I can't pretend
It's killing me again

Chorus

Call me my Lord
I'm coming down
Call me my Lord
I'm coming down

Chorus x 2

Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words can burn a happy home
It's true
I've got words for you
30 :o far to low imo deserves much better spot :P

There are just too many great songs I'm afriad. :( I love it almost equally with most of the others anyway, so consider it joint 10th.

When he sang a few lines of Toxic at the secret Amsterdam gig he said : Pfew!! I used to be so depressed

Great song but #30 is fine by me ^_^

I wish he would do a B-side concert, it would be so amazing. There could be a comp on the official site and it should be in a very small venue :D
i would pay a heap of money to watch a bsides gig
