06. Karma Killer
Released: 1998 (I've Been Expecting You Album)

Such an amazing song  Has always and will always be one of my all time faves, most of the general public have probebly never heard it, it is like so many of Rob's non-singles, miles better than most singles. I just love the aggression of this track, so much hatred in the lyrics, and the fact that it is a rock song just makes it better. It is about the bast*rd that is the ex TT manager Nigel Martin Smith, and contains some of the finest lyrics hes' ever written, the best being the classic line "I hope you choke on your Bacardi and Coke". Such a great line. ^_^ It is also, one of the best live songs I've heard, such a great one to bounce to. Sadly he has'nt sang it live in over six years I think. <_< But the two best performances for me are Slane and Manchester, two totally different types of performances and great for different reasons, but Manchester has been taken off youtube so Slane will have to do. ^_^

Slane Castle Performance

You've been naughty
Very very naughty

Are you cut up
Or do you easily forget
Are you still around
Why haven't you managed to die yet
You could prop up the bar in hell

How do you sleep
You've never loved
Why was I never good enough
You thought you'd leave me falling forever
Karma killer

Needless to say
I guess you know I hate you
You're so full of sin
Even the devil rates you
I hope you choke
On your Bacardi and Coke

How do you breathe
Why don't you cry?
How come you never ask me why?
You're not a man stand and deliver
Karma killer

How do you sleep
You've never loved
Why was I never good enough
You thought you'd leave me falling forever
Karma killer

Karma killer

I hope you choke on your Bacardi and Coke

Look what you didn't take from me
Look what you didn't take from me
Look what you didn't take from me
Look what you didn't take from me

I don't need to take revenge
Cos they're coming to get you
There's no hope for you my friend
Cos they're coming to get you

Karma Killer is good but too high for me...little suprise on what songs are to come

We have number 6! :w00t:

I think I can agree with that high placing of Karma Killer, because it's beautiful. Yes, especially for live performances, and because of that is really a shame he don't play it more on concerts. :(

Karma Killer !

5. Better Man
Released: 2000 (Sing When You're Winning)

Without a doubt the best Robbie song that was never a single imo. It is just an absolutelly amazing song, one of my favourite of all time. There's nothing about it thats not great, the lyrics, the music, his voice. It's all just great. No other track on Sing When You're Winning comes even remotly close to this if you ask me. It was never a single, which in a sence is very annoying, as it could've been the next 'Angels', because it is most definatly up there with the classics like Feel etc, but then again, it's probebly one of those songs that is too special for the masses to hear. It was a single in parts of the world though, such as Australia (it is their 'Angels' as they say ^_^ ), also in South America, especially Argentina where it was #1 for weeks. ^_^ An amazing song, that will always be one of my faves.

The classic Knebworth performance.

Live From Mexico B)

And along with Often.

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rain

Give me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel I'm getting old
Before my time

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow old through this pain
Lord I'm doing all I can
To be a better man

Go easy on my conscience
'Cause it's not my fault
I know I've been taught
To take the blame

Rest assured my angels
Will catch my tears
Walk me out of here
I'm in pain

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow old through this pain
Lord I'm doing all I can
To be a better man

Once you've found that lover
You're homeward bound
Love is all around
Love is all around

I know some have fallen
On stony ground
But Love is all around

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rain

Give me endless summer
Lord I fear the cold
Feel I'm getting old
Before my time

As my soul heals the shame
I will grow old through this pain
Lord I'm doin' all I can
To be a better man

Scotty
