Posted February 23, 200718 yr SNOW PATROL, THE KILLERS, ARCTIC MONKEYS and RAZORLIGHT will headline Scotland's T In The Park, it was announced today. The festival in Balado, near Kinross, will run from the evening of Friday 6 to Sunday 8 July with 35,000 tickets shifted already and another 40,000 up for sale on Saturday. The Arctic Monkeys play on Friday night, along with LILY ALLEN, THE CORAL and BLOC PARTY. Things really get going on the Saturday as The Killers and Razorlight share the glory on the main stage with support from THE ARCADE FIRE and Brit Award winner JAMES MORRISON. Acts playing in the festival's four other arenas that day include THE KOOKS, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, BABYSHAMBLES, CSS and Dundee boys THE VIEW. Sunday sees more Scottish faves with THE FRATELLIS and PAOLO NUTINI returning to play alongside SCISSOR SISTERS and festival-closers Snow Patrol on the main stage. In other arenas KASABIAN, MAXIMO PARK, MIKA, DAMIEN RICE and AMY WINEHOUSE are bound to impress. Speaking at today's launch, organiser Geoff Ellis warned fans: "If you're unlucky and don't get a ticket this weekend, don't go and get one off eBay. "Hold off, because hopefully we will able to put more tickets out, and we will be doing what we can to limit touting."
February 23, 200718 yr Very glad to see that Arctic's seem possibly set to have an even bigger year this year then the previous, however their album probably still won't sell as much as their debut did. Edited February 23, 200718 yr by TheOrdinaryArcticBoy
February 23, 200718 yr Author Very glad to see that Arctic's seem possibly set to have an even bigger year this year then the previous, however their album probably still won't sell as much as their debut did. Yep, they should be pretty busy this year, gigs wise at least. :D ^_^ I think they'll play Leeds and Reading as well. No I don't think it will be either. :P But from what has been said for it so far, it's shaping up to be better than their debut. ^_^

February 23, 200718 yr Author If the album does end up actually being as good as the reviews so far have said it may eventually sell as much, however I just can't see it selling as quickly as the debut did. Well I honesty have no idea how the album will sell overall. When it's first released I think it will sell pretty well. Not as good as their debut did, but still pretty well. For the long term though I think it may struggle because they're not on a major label so they won't be able to do all the promotion like say a band like Razorlight or The Kooks may be able to do. Still there's supposivley a lot of good tracks on the album which could all be potential single so we'll just see how it all plays out. :P ^_^
February 25, 200718 yr Author Tickets for T in the Park sold out in 40 minutes, its organisers have said. About 40,000 tickets went for the festival in Balado, Kinross, in July. Around 35,000 were already sold last July straight after last year's event. All the passes available were sold on the internet and at stores in Scotland by 9.40pm. However, festival organiser Geoff Ellis said more may go on sale at a later date. He explained: "Once the final capacity for the site is agreed, multiple bookings are made void and where possible, online lots are cancelled, a second batch of tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks." Acts confirmed for the festival include Snow Patrol, the Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Paulo Nutini and the Scissor Sisters.
February 27, 200718 yr Author I have a feeling something will happen with this as well, as Oxegen. :P Because of the whole Live Earth event which is meant to be taking place.
February 28, 200718 yr Isn't Reading the only they're NOT headlining now? I expect they'll be second on the bill on the main stage again like last year on day in that one ^_^
