Westlife aren't as good as TT, that's the bottom line lol. Westlife timed their releases as said above to fit in with quiet weeks and there were no other competitors in that niche unlike now when you have the XF production line etc etc. Its no coincidence in my opinion that as soon as TT came back they reinvented the term boyband and became something more entirely which left Westlife behind and a couple of low selling albums later and a year or so 'off' they aren't around anymore.

Westlife were starting to fade in my opinion just before take that reunited, take that reuniting sealed their demise further as Take That took over the market. Westlife did very well to last as long as they did.

I think that's true but there were other big chart topping boybands like Blue,Busted and McFly who were around before TT came back.

I think when Busted came along late 2002 - early 2005 WL only achieved 1 #1 compared to Busted's 4 and then McFly mid 2004 onwards they only achieved a further 2 #1 compared to McFly's 7 so i think both these groups hampened their chart topping/fanbase also. I think the change in style of boyband to these guitar groups also stamped out briefly the old singing/dancing template and TT coming back was the final straw for them i think.

The amazing thing from Westlife was that first year when they racked up 7 #1's half their final total. The year 2000 had the most #1's ever and this definately benefitted them.

Yeah and none of the Westlife lot will have a solo career when compared to the likes of Robbie, Gary and even Mark
