Posted February 27, 200718 yr Lets face it, they're not a punk band and people only have a go at you when you say they are so what style of music do you define them as? Edited February 27, 200718 yr by ChapStick

February 27, 200718 yr Author Wiki say they fit under 'Alternative rock', i guess thats where all the rock acts that don't fit into another Genre get dumped.

February 27, 200718 yr Author 'Pop Punk / Rock / Alternative' , these where pretty much the suggested ones in this thread anyway. Edited February 27, 200718 yr by ChapStick

February 27, 200718 yr Author I would of said their early material was Brat punk but apparently that definition doesn't actually excist. I remmember quite a few Kerrang interviews said Sum 41's earlier stuff was Brat Punk and it wasn't to different from Green Day, appart from the guitars being much better in Sum 41.

Never heard of that term before. I don't really know any of Sum 41's stuff other than a few singles so I can't really say.
