Posted March 1, 200718 yr ITV1 announces that Primeval and Benidorm will be recommissioned. A second series of Primeval, which is made by Impossible Pictures, will go into production later this year. On the re-commission, executive producer Tim Haines, said: “Impossible Pictures is incredibly proud of Primeval, and we’re over the moon that audiences share our passion. ITV’s continued support ensures that Cutter and his team will be back to save the world in the very near future, or past, depending on which side of an anomaly you’re on!†Nick Elliott, director of network drama for ITV, said: “Primeval has had a wonderful response both from the public and from the press. We’ve opened up a new slot and a new family audience on Saturday night for ITV and the decision to recommission was not a tough one. We’re really looking forward to seeing Cutter and his team in action again.â€
