jups, that bit from the Daily Record cracked me up.

And I hope it's true what that Lisa says, that he has no plans to release new material before 2008.

Scotty should be happy about that too, right ? It's what we've always said. He shouldn't throw out album after album, particularly not now after what he's been through. He should allow himself a long break and at the same time give the Brits time to miss him and realise what they've got in him. I have not given up hope yet that they will one day. -_-

I agree. 2008 is perfect for a new album. To take this year off is the right thing to do personally and professionaly imo. ^_^

ALL DOWN TO LOVE, ROBBIE

Fiona Phillips 10/03/2007

THERE'S a Freddie Mercury quote that has always stuck with me. "I know I'm loved by thousands," he said, "yet I feel like the loneliest man in the world."

Although he was pictured looking happy after checking out of rehab this week, I get the feeling that's what Robbie Williams might say if you prompted him. Once, he wanted fame - badly.

I remember, many times, interviewing Take That, and Robbie would be the one craving attention.

He'd do it with physical comedy, or affecting a couldn't-care-less attitude, all in that cheeky chappie way that we've come to love.

And now he's got fame, what has he really got? Money, houses, cars, adulation... that's it really. What he hasn't got is the one thing that makes most of us tick - a loving relationship.

He's got a new tattoo with L-O-V-E across the fingers of his right hand, but he hasn't got any love in the luxury home he lives in alone.

He reminds me of another well-loved entertainer, Dudley Moore. He once broke down when I interviewed him, saying that although he'd had a string of glamorous partners he didn't think he'd ever been in love, because essentially he didn't love himself.

Robbie's sister Sally has said that her brother's been touched by the thousands of goodwill messages from fans, but unless Robbie believes in himself, he could receive a million letters telling him he's wonderful and he'd still feel worthless.

The trouble is if you lack self-esteem, you believe the horrible remarks, but discount praise as coming from people who don't know what you're "really like".

Robbie's got good mates like Jonathan Wilkes, a solid, trustworthy guy from a down-to-earth family.

Mark Owen has said he's still in touch with Robbie, but you get the feeling that Robbie has created distance because of his self-loathing. Of course you'll get some who'll say Robbie's being self-indulgent - Simon Cowell said this week that Robbie needs to "get a grip."

But depression is a terrible thing - and you can't just "get a grip."

Robbie's sister says her brother "needs to get to a place where he feels happy with his life before he can even start thinking about coming back." I hope he finds that place

WILLIAMS: 'I'VE BEEN AN ADDICT FOR 14 YEARS'

Movie & Entertainment News provided by World Entertainment News Network (www.wenn.com)

Robbie Williams

2007-03-10 16:41:05 -

British pop superstar ROBBIE WILLIAMS has been battling addictions since he was 19.

The 33-year-old recently completed a stay in a rehab clinic in Arizona to tackle his addictions to caffeine and prescription medicine.

And he claims his demons date back to his time in boyband TAKE THAT.

Williams says, "The first time I realised I'd probably got a problem, I'd just got back from the MTV Berlin awards.

"We'd gone on this bender, which literally nearly involved me throwing my insides up and I thought, 'Yeah, I've got a problem. Oh dear, I'm only 19.'"

Foreign musicians ride coattails of Indian stars

NEW DELHI (Billboard) - More bhangra means more bucks -- that's the mantra for a growing number of international acts targeting the emerging Indian market via associations with local stars.

British singer Robbie Williams -- a global superstar everywhere outside the United States -- is the latest international artist to boost his profile on the subcontinent via a remix project featuring iconic "Bollywood" vocalist Asha Bhosle. Two tracks from Williams' back catalogue -- "Rock DJ" and "Better Man" -- were released exclusively as mobile downloads in late January, priced at 20 rupees (45 cents) each.

The tracks are also being used in TV commercials for Sony Ericsson's new Walkman mobile phones, which come with the tracks preloaded, and EMI India says the remixes may end up on a Bollywood movie soundtrack.

No sales figures are yet available, but insiders expect the TV exposure to fuel sales. Leading Mumbai-based Bollywood soundtrack composer Shameer Tandon, who composed and produced Bhosle's contribution, says, "This meeting of cultures definitely widens the audience for a foreign artist."

Mumbai-based EMI Records India managing director Suresh Thangiah expects the remixes to also boost Williams' album sales. The tracks' original versions were included on Williams' 2000 album "Sing When You're Winning," which the label says has sold close to 20,000 copies in India. Williams' latest album, "Rudebox," is certified gold in India, topping 10,000 sales since its October 2006 release.

Traditionally, international acts have found it difficult to make headway in India. Local repertoire accounted for 93% of sales in 2005, according to London-based record industry trade group IFPI, the last year for which figures are available. Bollywood dominates sales, with best-selling soundtracks regularly shifting in excess of 500,000 units.

Experts say the current trend of foreign artists working with Bollywood started in 2004 when British boy band Blue collaborated with Indian male pop vocalist Shaan on a remix of their "One Love" track, which was used on the soundtrack to Bollywood film "Rakht" (T-Series). Industry sources estimate the album has sold 200,000 copies.

ROBBIE'S IN RUDE HEALTH..

By Sean Hamilton Showbiz Editor

ROBBIE Williams' dad knows his son is back to rude health - because he's telling filthy jokes again.

Robbie, 33, treated dad Pete Conway to a series of blue gags when he called him to say he was fine after leaving rehab in Tucson, Arizona.

Pete revealed: "I always know how Robbie is by his humour, and it's back. He was making jokes down the phone to me yesterday, they are not quotable, very private and a bit rude.

"So I would say he is on the mend. He's not going into another rehab - he's done, he's finished."

Pete is flying to LA this week to spend a fortnight playing golf with Robbie.

"I am looking forward to seeing him more than you could know. I always have faith in him, he's a good lad and I love him," he said

Troubled pop star ROBBIE WILLIAMS is dating Swedish singer LISA LOVBRAND, according to reports. The pair were spotted leaving a Los Angeles nightclub this week (begs05MAR07), following Williams' stay in rehab in Arizona for addictions to caffeine and prescription drugs. Lovbrand refuses to confirm a romance, but confesses they are close and she is attracted to him. She says, "He's a sexy man. "It was a big surprise to see him. I'd read he'd gone to rehab. "He seems much stronger now. He was happy and very positive. We've known each other for years. We met at a restaurant in LA five or six years ago through some friends. Since then we've met over the years at parties. "He told me about new songs he's working on. We talked about getting together and writing some songs."

never heard of her before but i think this is her

I know what you mean, rather unsettling to read something like that in The Mirror. :o

But don't forget, it didn't come from the 3am girls. I'm sure we'll get another lovely article from them on Monday, where they will go on about how his career is finished after She's Madonna only charted in the Top 15... <_<

KYLIE IS ROBBIE'S ROCK DJ

Recovering Robbie Williams has found his Angel in the form of Kylie Minogue.

The pint-sized pop princess has phoned Rob EVERY DAY since he's been out of rehab to make sure he's OK.

I'm told she's been a huge support for him as he battles an addiction for painkillers.

A close friend revealed: "Kylie's been great. She has been Rob's rock during this difficult time.

"She's phoned and even sent a huge bunch of flowers."

Oh I read that in my copy of the News of the Screws this morning. I forgot to post it.

Kylie.

oh kylie good on you

Wad's up with you, Robbie?

HERE’S ROBBIE WILLIAMS in a dodgy long coat that makes him look like a member of Seventies group SHOWADDYWADDY.

He went for the retro teddy boy look to feed his new habit – partying in Hollywood.

Rob has been out every night since leaving rehab a week ago.

Back in the UK, though, there was little to celebrate.

His new single She’s Madonna only managed to limp in at No16 in the chart.

Pleased to see you’re not letting it get you down Rob – but I’m still not sure about the jacket.

If you’re really that desperate to join a band, I hear TAKE THAT have reformed

<_< i hate the sun....besides i like the jacket
Hang on a minute...weren't the fliipin Sun asking people to send in their get well cards a few short weeks ago :arrr: . I knew it wouldn't last  and I like the jacket too.

Did we ever expect anything less from the Sun

Obviously old Vicky has no taste, that jacket looks great on him.

On-the-mend Robbie shares digital message of love

With his poignant lyrics and refreshingly honest approach to life Robbie Williams has always worn his heart on his sleeve - but now it seems he's wearing it on his hands, too.

Leaving fashionable Hollywood night spot Les Deux on Saturday the 33-year-old singer proudly showed off his latest body art, the word L-O-V-E - with the first letter designed in the style of a learner-driver L plate - spread across the fingers of his right hand.

The up-beat decoration may be a reflection of a more positive state of mind experienced by the singer since he underwent a stint in an Arizona rehab centre. Robbie checked into the clinic on his 33rd birthday, February 13, and left three weeks later looking tanned, relaxed and trim. The Angels singer's mum Jan has flown into LA to be with her son as he continues his treatment, and his father Pete has told reporters he's pleased Robbie is getting his life back on track.

"I always know how Robbie is by his humour, and it's back," a delighted Pete said. "He was making jokes down the phone to me yesterday, they are not quotable, very private and a bit rude. So I would say he is on the mend.

Pete is jetting into LA this week to spend a fortnight relaxing and playing golf with Robbie. "I am looking forward to seeing him more than you could know. I always have faith in him, he's a good lad and I love him," he said.

TAKE THAT ROBBIE

Old band on song while the hits desert solo star

By Beverley Lyons

ROBBIE Williams has failed to crack the Top 10 with his new single - while former band Take That celebrated a second week at No1.

Robbie's collaboration with The Pet Shop Boys, called She's Madonna, limped into the charts at No16.

It's the latest blow for Robbie after checking into rehab last month on his 33rd birthday as he battled addiction to prescription drugs.

And it's a far cry from the days when Robbie was riding high with his solo career as the rest of Take That languished in the wilderness after sensationally splitting in 1996.

Robbie snubbed the band when they reunited for a documentary on the group in 2005.

Now with their single Shine hitting the top spot, Take That's album Beautiful World is at number three and they are about to set out on a sell-out UK arena tour. Tickets for the band's three nights at Glasgow's SECC sold out in less than an hour.

A spokesman for Robbie said last week that he had now left the clinic in Arizona - one of the toughest in the US - and is continuing treatment with an aftercare programme in Los Angeles.

ROBBIE'S CHART BID IS A FLOP

By Stephen White 12/03/2007

ROBBIE Williams' troubles continued last night when his latest single failed to make the new Top 10.

His former band Take That kept their No.1 slot for the second week with Shine.

He was hoping She's Madonna, a Pet Shop Boys collaboration, would be a winner but it limped in at No16.

Robbie recently spent three weeks in an Arizona rehab clinic battling his addiction to prescription drugs.

His recent troubles are in contrast to Take That's success.

The band, which split in 1996, made an sensational comeback.

They went straight to No1 with Patience and Shine has made it two in a row.

Their album Beautiful World is at No3 and they have a sellout tour later this year.

Robbie, meanwhile, is in after-care treatment in Los Angeles.
