During an interview on March 8th on Kiss FM, Avril revealed the single after "Girlfriend" to be "When You're Gone" - a song written about her husband.

"When You're Gone" is one of the big ballads on the album alongside 'Innocence' and of course 'Keep Holding On'.

From the clip of it - I really love it and can tell it will be one of my favourites and I want it to be a single but I really think it should be saved as the 3rd single - she needs something uptempo again for a summer release and should save the big ballad until autumn time when it's more appropriate. I don't think a ballad as the 2nd single will truly represent the album :(

yes :(

the usual pattern is 2 uptempo 1 ballad and then whatever you can get away with afterwards

I'm With You - 3rd single

Nobody's Home - 3rd Single

Kelly Clarkson - Because Of You - 3rd single

and so on...

I never classed NH as a ballad type song tbh

I think only 'Slipped Away' and 'How Does It Feel' from UMS could be in that catergory - but I do agree with what you said - I wouldn't be bothered if it was 2nd single just I don't think it'd be a good move but hey what do I know? :kink:
