Posted March 14, 200719 yr Here's the elusive Music Week report, at last: Comic Relief single heading for chart summit 14 March 2007 - 17:09:47 Source: Music Week Sugababes and Girls Aloud's charity cover of Aerosmith's Walk This Way (Fascination/Island), looks set to top the charts this Sunday, despite being largely snubbed by Radio One. The track, recorded for Comic Relief, has only been C-listed by Radio One. Further down the midweek chart, Baby Fratelli (Island), the fourth single from the Fratellis' debut album Costello Music, looks set for a top 20 placing, following on from band's Best British Newcomer victory at last month's Brit Awards. Georgie-quintet Maximo Park are also doing well in the midweek chart, with the download release of Our Velocity (Warp - physical release out next week) heading for a top 30 placing. On the album charts, EMI appear to be suffering for the recent spate of negative publicity surrounding Joss Stone - her third album, Introducing, looks set to barely scrape the top 10 midweek. Instead the top spot looks likely to be taken by X Factor runner-up Ray Quinn, whose Doing it My Way (Syco Music) looks set to replace Kaiser Chiefs, who drop clear of the top but remain within the top five. Fellow X Factor contestant Ben Mills also looks likely to make the top 10, as does Simply Red’s Stay - the second album on singer Mick Hucknall’s own Simplyred.com label. ****************** Singles 01 Sugababes vs. Girls Aloud - Walk This Way (700 copies ahead) 02 Gwen Stefani feat. March 15, 200719 yr Sugababes Vs Girls Aloud seem to be pulling further ahead of Gwen Stefani by each day, but their sales still arent great. They are definately unlikely to shift 150k as predicted by one member on here earlier this week.
