Posted March 15, 200718 yr Turbofunk is actually a big-name producer who wishes to currently remain anonymous.... and I've just got the promo of this - I reckon it could be colossal. The Cantrelle/Cox mix is absolutely superb, guaranteed to get people on the dancefloor - very retro-90s funky house feel, chunky bassline and great catchy samples. Both Pete Tong and Judge Jules have given it the thumbs-up, and I reckon it could be one of the tunes of the year - already. It's available on the ever-reliable Phonetic records. Here's the official line on it: http://www.dancemuzik.com/modules.php?name...icle&id=471 And you can hear it here: http://www.djdownload.com/mp3-detail/Turbo...cordings/237405
March 16, 200718 yr Ooh yeah! I downloaded this the other day and I plan to play this out tonight! Will sound great in big clubs and bars alike. It's got CROSSOVER written all over it, I bet you any money this gets picked up by a major for a summer release!
March 16, 200718 yr Author spot on ScottyEm... some records you just KNOW are gonna be huuuuge... this really is one of those records... the buzz around it is massive.
March 31, 200718 yr Author http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendid=89556908 have a look here - I wonder if Turbofunk is actually Judge Jules? I'm not a fan of Jules... but the pointers are all to him on this one. If it is - finally - he's made a good record of his own. Prepare for Turbofunk to be one of the year's dance smashes... everyone goes ballistic when it gets played.... it was one of the main tunes at the recent Miami conference, it's a crossover hit, I reckon.
April 17, 200718 yr I'm preparing myself for them to ruin an amazing tune with some screechy girl and some lyrics that don't fit the song.. a la bodyrox - yeah yeah <_<. Love this track though.. :)
May 14, 200718 yr Its NOT Jules, i've worked it out..its none other than.. Patrick Alavi. Also did you know it samples the 80s hit "Going Dancin' Down The Street" by The Peter Jacques Band. Who had another hit sampled "Lets Go Together" by Soul Corporation and Jazzy M. NOW YOU KNOW!!! lol
May 15, 200718 yr Shock horror! Now signed to Data (home to Fedde Le Grand, Alex Gaudino et al) so it's in safe hands to kick some big chart booty. It's penned for a mid-June release.
May 15, 200718 yr Author yea, I still reckon this is THE dance track of 2007. Everyone seems to love it, as has been said before - it's a huge crossover track. Thing is - will we all be sick to the back teeth of it when it's a hit and all the Cascada dummies finally catch up and start buying it?
