Manic Street Preachers Unveil Full Album Details

It will be with us in May...

by Scott Colothan on 16/03/2007

Manic Street Preachers have unveiled the full details of their new album ‘Send Away The Tigers.’

The record is released through SonyBMG on May 7 and will be preceded by the single ‘Your Love Is Not Enough’ on April 30.

The single is a collaboration with The Cardigans’ frontwoman Nina Persson.

Hoover-loving guitarist Nicky Wire has described the album as return to their more politicised early days.

The band are supporting the album’s release with a completely sold-out tour of the UK which kicks off at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on May 8 and winds up at the Reading Hexagon June 6.

The Welsh outfit have also been confirmed to appear at Fflam and Rock Ness festivals.

Check out Gigwise next week for a track-by-track guide to the new album. The full track-listing is as follows:

Send Away The Tigers

Underdogs

Your Love Alone Is Not Enough

Indian Summer

The Second Great Depression

Rendition

Autumnsong

I Am Just A Patsy

Imperial Bodybags

Winterlovers

Will any of you be buying their new album?

Judging by the description it's certainly a consideration for me :D Wasn't a fan of their last album but liked most of JDB's solo stuff so I hope this one can reignite my interest in them ^_^
Haven't they return to their politicised roots at least twice already? As much as I liked their early stuff since the lead guy became fat they've produced some terrible music.

I've heard the album, and it's really good.

Well recommended.

Will any of you be buying their new album?

Only if it's £2 like the last 2 albums

I've just been to see them live. They were pretty good.

The only songs I remember off the new album were Rendition and I'm Just a Patsy, which was especially good - second single maybe?
