I found this while reading through articles about Mariahs albums on Wikipedia (Yes I know you can edit this anywhere, but Ive read it somewhere else before, but I was told I was wrong)

In 2005, one of the album's tracks, "My Saving Grace", was made a B-side to the song "Fly Like a Bird" from the Emancipation of Mimi. The two songs were solicited to gospel radio across the U.S. on May 18, 2005, where it flopped and, thus, was not released to other formats.

This means Fly Like A Bird had a very low key release last year, but flopped!

Im sure its going to do better this time, although hasnt FLAB been sent to RnB stations, not Gospel this time?

:o :o

why they they give it a low key release though?

I don't think it's true to be honest, the many sites dedicated to Mariah would have picked up on it already and I haven't seen it mentioned before, I think someone has been editing. ;)

Im sure Ive read it, it was sent out to a few gospel stations, to test the water, and it wasnt takenvery lightly
I'll look into it because i'm still not convinced, i'm not saying your wrong at ALL, but it's something i've never even heard before.

it was released along with my saving grace to gospel radio stations to promote the album.

it was never intended to release it commercially, just to put some weight behind the campaign of the return of the voice.

mine again has been released in the same way too!!

I remember Mine Again being on some kind of Billboard Chart not long after Mimi was released....
Fly like a bird WAS sent to gospel radio stations, but only cos the song was so appropriate to them. It wasn't intended to be a single. The promo CDs had my saving grace on as well. I have the promo - it was never released. Just meant for the gospel stations.

OK, sorry for any confusion I caused! And Kelly I remember Mine Again appearing on the Hot RnB Tracks or something

Exactly

Technically any song can be in the chart in America as it's all based on airplay and stations can play album tracks if they want. That's why mine again charted.

I knew that ^_^
