Missed the announcement completely - the headliners are awful though.

Last year's was great fun though, so if you're going and haven't before then you're in for a treat...just better hope some decent bands get added to the bill pronto.

GAWD, apart from NIN, Interpol, RHCP (who are still a great live act, even if their material these days does not match up to past glories) and one or two others, what an incredibly bland and awful line-up... Smashing Pumpkins I have serious issues with because it's not the classic line-up - NO D'arcy and as far as I know, NO James Iha..... So, just what is the point...? Well, apart from Billy Corgan wanting to revisit past glories cos no bugger's in the least bit interested in anything he's done Post-Pumpkins.....

No James. Just Billy and Jimmy drummerman. It's hardly like having The Pixies and, besides, Smashing Pumpkins weren't THAT big...just like Pearl Jam last year who bored so many people to tears that every other tent was packed out at headline time.

There's definitely some wanky retro grunger at the helm of Reading. Look out for a half-arsed Stone Temple Pilots gig next year.

It's pretty nonsensical to have NIN playing second fiddle to the pretend Pumpkins... NIN are a going concern with new material in the offing, I haven't heard anything on the grapevine about a new Pumpkins album; and frankly pound for pound I would say that Trent has had much more success than Corgan has. I'd like to see Corgan doing FIVE sold-out shows at the Brixton Academy in London like NIN have just done recently... The Pumpkins were great back in the day, and I saw them play live a few times, but of course that WAS with the original line-up....

Expect a massive exodus from the main stage after NIN have finished their set...

Gogol Bordello are good

They would be one of the 'one or two others' that I would want to see... But, considering that they're first on the bill, it's gonna be tough going for them... :( Being the first band to kick off a festival is always a thankless task... I reckon I'd rather see them at one of their own gigs...

So many overrated bands on the line-up...

Manchester V Cancer has a better line-up

Ian Brown, The Charlatans, Echo & The Bunnymen, Paul Weller...

Nah, Gogol kicking things off will get everyone in a good mood - perfect time for them and hopefully the sun'll be shining.

IM GOING LEEDS.

AND IM SO EXCITED.

MAN CAN I NOT WAIT :D

I'm going to leeds, my 2nd year it will be, im looking forward to klaxons, we are scientists and the gosip.

completely agree, i wouldn't spend £150, or however much it is, on a ticket as i only like a few of the bands -_-

Some good there - though RHCP and NIN are past it and I don't think the reformed Pumpkins will be that good. £150 seems a bit much for what you're getting tho.
NIN are past it

Rubbish... You've clearly not heard any of the new stuff circulating on You Tube... Best material they've done in over a decade.... They're still a damn good live band too, I saw them a couple of weeks back in London....

God! At least wait until the FULL line-up until you all start slagging it off a whole
