Mariah Carey has been a phenomenon ever since launching her self-titled smash debut in 1990. Throughout the 90s, her glossy mixture of ballads and Hip-Hop inspired pop, notched up a record 17 US number 1 singles, making her the most successful female vocalist of the decade. Plus she's gorgeous.
