Can she win back her UK fanbase after all the backlash shes been getting recently?

I think its going to be hard but she can do it, shes got a great second single and I think people are starting to feel sorry for her as well. I just think she needs to ditch her american accent (obv) and do loads of promo and she'll be a hit again.

Well shes already ditched the accent lol :) yer, i think it can be done...Itroducing will, i hope go platinum...i know her first two went 3x platinum, but this wont because artists' sales always go down after a while, it wont be because of the backlash.

^ I don't agree if the artist releases better material then the will sell more.. because they have their current fanbase and if its better than what they released before its going to attract new fans aswell.
Well that doesnt seem to be happening with Introducing, does it!
I can't see this album being saved. The second single is excellent and stands a chance of boosting the album, but if it flops and does nothing for the album, the album will be a dead project. :(
"Introducing" is soooooooooo much better than the first 2 CDs so it is a shame for Joss. I really think if that Brits incident hadn't happened she wouldn't have any backlash and the new album would be doing well. I can't get enough of the new album, yet the first two I didn't really get into at all.
I think this album has a good chance of going platinum- it goes without saying that sales won't be anywhere near as high as they were for her first 2 albums. With her first 2 albums she benefitted from all the hype and the follow up being released quickly.

Why has she been getting backlash?

I read she's doing a course to talk with a Britih accent again

I never heard that one! Anyway, things should all be just great once TMWWGDN is out! AND Introducing is on its way to selling 200k in America!
TMBI is doing okay here, it peaked at #7 :)

That's Pretty Good

And I'm Glad she is having british accent lessons (apprently ;) ) And Yes Jark, let's hope her Album Goes Platinum

She really is, cuz the brits aren't happy as she doesnt have it  i have to say i find it sad, really
She was quite famus in Croatia when se realested her album Mind&Body&Soul but Introducing Joss Stone didn't go so good. When I saw her on Brits I was like THAT'S JOSS, NO WAY... I really hated that NEW american accent... But hope she'll go back to englisf accent and winn some more fans

Me too, its just an accent!

The new album has only been out for a few weeks, nothing to worry about. It was #1 here last week :D

I felt sorry for her with the backlash she got. She said on the Chris Moyles show that she had picked up the accent naturally.

I'm a bit out of touch, did her album do okay in the end?

Hmm..well its sold approximately 1 million so far. Off the back of an underperforming single (28 UK, 83 USA) thats not really so bad, and Introducing.. did get to number 2 in the USA, the first album by a British female solo act to get that high! So its all good really, plus Tell Me What We Gonna Do Now should bring back loads more sales.

Her first 2 albums sold approx 3.5 million each though so Introducing still has a little catching up to do

Forget her dodgy transatlantic accent. The thing that turned me against her was her attempting to sing Amy Winehouse's Rehab. Which I & a lot of other people interpreted as her trying to say "look at me, I'm better than Amy Winehouse".

I don't like seeing Diva behaviour like that.
