Did u all just realize that TEOM has sold the same or even more than the biggest albums by PINK, Alicia Keys or Avril Lavigne in the US?

The last number i have is 5.751.000 for the album and its certified 6.000.000 (6x platinum). Did you just realize that there will be no other artist or album in the US who could overtake or reach this success cause of shrinking album sales and cd sales collapse in the US this year? The only current artist who seems to come close to MIMI is Carry Underwood, her latest album sold 5.1m in the US so far, still 700.000 to go.

Did you realize that this album is the highest certified album since USHER's Confessions and will prob stay this for a couple of years now?

I know what you mean. To be honest aslong as I see albums reaching at least 1m i'm happy, like Ciara's new album, that recently hit the 1m mark and if it didn't sell another copy in the US now I would be happy, aslong as it makes the 1m. :P

She's doing well which is what we like to see. :cheer:

It did really well worldwide I feel. Mariah really deserved a bit higher than number 7 in the UK though. Her success is so underrated here, people just see her as a big diva, and mock her and such.

TEOM not even sold 3m worldwide which is nothing compared to other artists.. without the US TEOM would have been another flop for her.. She as always did extremely bad in europe.. once FRANCE was her strongest market now she not even sells 200k there. she only did good in UK 600.000 for an album by mariah is a great success for her. BUT whats with Spain/Italy? Scandinavia? and what about ASIA? Beyonce Madonna Daniel Powder so many artists outsold her in her strongest country besides the US! Mariah is the alltime best selling international artist (Male, Female or group) in japan with almost 18 Million albums shipped. AND TEOM only sold 305.000 (WITH Imports) there.. Glitter or CB did 500k with imports..

I agree. Mimi was the most ANY Mariah album had sold since #1's I think, but then of course The Greatest Hits went on to sell a little over 600k and then so did Mimi and #1's was already at 600k so it's 600k's all round. :lol:

Oh yeah definitely, i'm not the biggest fan of Carrie's album but I will not deny that she is SO talented and I want her to do well so she can eventually produce something better. :lol:

We Belong Together and It's Like That, yeah they where alright. But apart from that.. -_- I think her reputation proceeds her, when people think Mariah, they dont think the whole big massive voice people in America see her as -_-

It's Like That, We Belong Together, Mine Again, Joy Ride, Circles & Sprung are the only good songs on there tbh. ^_^
