Posted March 29, 200718 yr Im furious that it is not illegal for people to feed rabbits and other pets to snakes and film it. I find it really horrid that people can watch these poor creatures being killed by the worst creature of them all. How can someone be so horrid? I dont know how throwing a rabbit into a cage with a 12 foot python and then watching and filming it has the snake kills it and it squeals away, its awful, i think it should be illegal because its really sickening, what are your virews on this?
March 29, 200718 yr If you are trying to imply that somehow it's the snake that's the "worst creature of all", then frankly you're talking out your arse.... <_< The snake is merely doing what comes natural to it, it is only following its biological imperitive to bloody well eat ffs...... If however you are saying that the sick "human" dipsh!ts who filmed the rabbit being eaten as some kind of warped entertainment are the "worst creature of all", then I am in total agreement with you.... Mankind is a disease on this fukkin' planet....
March 30, 200718 yr whilst I agree that making a sport out of it is slightly disturbing .... hasn't that been the way of many for centuries? The Romans fed Christians to the lions for sport - for a huge audience. Zoos and safari parks advertise feeding times as an attraction (although usually the food is dead) In a discussion with a lion keeper at one zoo they were looking at the possibilty of their lions being given live food once a week - whilst the zoo was closed - as the exercise and experience would be good for the lions. I had lamb for my tea last night - (but someone else killed the little fluffy bundle) does that make me "the worst creature" nature and the real world is a cruel and often unfairplace ...... but doesn't mean it should change just because it makes some people a bit squeamish.

I agree with that though, because it's for the benefit of the lions, it's natural for them to stalk, hunt and pursue their prey, hundreds of thousands of years of genetic hardwiring... And yeah, I do watch nature programmes, but it's in a totally different context to what these characters were doing...
March 30, 200718 yr I don´t agree human beings are the worst creatures in the planet... You can´t pick things in nature and just say "this is good, this is bad". Nature doesn´t have judgement or morals, this only started with the human race, just to say humans are evil you are already using a moral judgement from humanity, which is contraditory.

March 30, 200718 yr I don't see a problem with people feeding the snakes animals as it is a normal thing for snakes to do, i find these videos slightly cruel though where it's obvious the guy just put the live chicks into the snakes mouth... http://youtube.com/watch?v=x9KAhWCza0k&...ted&search=
March 30, 200718 yr That video is vile. The people who do it are awful, but it isn't the snake's fault... although I do hate them myself.

Mankind is a disease on this fukkin' planet.... I don't like snakes that much, i think how they kill causes a slow and painful death for the victim but its the fact that people film the rabbit being killed which irritates me, if it was another person instead of a rabbit people would feel differently.

March 30, 200718 yr conor... that is an emotional reaction for you m8, death of anything isnt very nice but its nature. everything alive will die, you, me, everyone, so get used to it. nature is cruel, theres no compassion for any hunter killing and eating its prey. nature is cold, unemotional, that fluffy little chick in a nest will be devoured by that rat/weasel/squirrel. people who find amusement in watching these scenes though are rather disturbing.

March 31, 200718 yr I don't like snakes that much, i think how they kill causes a slow and painful death for the victim Oh well, I'm just sure the snake has the intellectual capacity to think its actions through like that....  Can we PLEASE stop ascribing human values on the rest of the bloody animal kingdom....??? JESUS!!!!!
April 1, 200718 yr I watched the video that Daniel posted and I found it very upsetting. I'm not usually one of these people that is all gooey over animals and such, but that really is upsetting. I have no problem with snakes eat birds and whatever else they're meant to eat, I don't know if it's a requirement for the food to be alive, but I think it's terrible, does anyone know if it's actually required for it to be alive?

Obviously in the wild, the 'food' tends to be alive, but in captivity there is no real reason why a snake cannot be fed dead animals so long as the correct procedures are carried out. No, I think it's more likely that these two characters are just sick, twisted fukks... No blame whatsoever should be apportioned to the snake, it's only following millions of years of genetic hardwiring, simple as...
