I Want You Back - Robbie Williams Rejoins Take That

7th Apr 07

ROBBIE Williams WILL perform with Take That. And, more to the point, Take That WILL perform with Robbie Williams.

Heady days in the world of nostalgic pop music as we read in the Sun that Robbie Williams will one day rejoin the band with which he made his name.

Says Take That’s Jason Orange: “Maybe it’s my romanticism, but I think if we do future albums it’s inevitable Rob will sing with us.â€

I guess now it's time for me to give up

I feel it's time

Who says you can’t find romance in modern music? You can feel the love as the dreamy-eyed executives at the record company clutch their hands to their bosoms. Marketing manger embraces finance controller. The man from merchandise wipes away a tear.

Who would have dared believe love and romance would give Robbie’s career a lease of life and solve the problem of how to follow up Take That’s comeback album? Tis the stuff of dreams.

Got a picture of you beside me

Got your lipstick mark still on your coffee cup

And Robbie will do it.

“I don’t think Robert has a problem with that,†says Robbie’s mum Jan. “He’s thrilled at how Take That have come back. On the question of him doing something with them, that will happen.â€

Got a fist of pure emotion

Got a head of shattered dreams

Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now

Mum knows what’s best for her boy. And having been with Robert in Los Angeles, mum knows her boy is ready.

Says Jane: “Take That were excellent when they were all together and they are excellent now.â€

Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it

I just want you back for good

Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it...

Repeat to fade. Then repeat again...

Robbie will sing with Take That

The Sun online: Victoria Newton's Bizarre

April 07, 2007

I’VE lost count of the number of times a ROBBIE WILLIAMS reunion with TAKE THAT has been either on or off.

But now a real voice of authority has spoken on Robbie’s behalf and insisted he will work with the boys again — his beloved mum Jan.

Take That’s JASON ORANGE hinted at a Robbie collaboration when he said this week: “Maybe it’s my romanticism, but I think if we do future albums it’s inevitable Rob will sing with us.â€

And Jan agrees. She said: “I don’t think Robert has a problem with that. He’s thrilled at how Take That have come back.

“On the question of him doing something with them, that will happen.

“It would be something he wanted to do.

“I’m thrilled that out of all the negative stuff that happened in the past there’s now something great happening.

“Take That were excellent when they were all together and they are excellent now.â€

Jan flew to Los Angeles to be there when her boy left rehab early around a month ago.

She said he has completed his course of treatment and is back working hard on his music. She added: “He’s OK, he’s fine, he’s on a good recovery.

“He’s enjoying life and his football and going out with the lads and having a laugh.

“It’s great to see. He’s doing a lot of writing.â€

Jan is now back in the UK after jetting home having spent time with her son in LA.

She flew to his side when he checked out of an Arizona rehab clinic following treatment for addiction to prescription drugs.

The singer — pictured above outside trendy Hollywood haunt Hyde on Thursday — has been out clubbing almost every night since he got home, just like fellow Rehab Raver Lindsay Lohan.

I bumped into Rob’s pal MAX BEESLEY in London’s Groucho Club last week and he spoke excitedly about the new songs Rob is working on.

Max said: “Rob’s brilliant at the moment — the best he’s been in years and he’s buzzing with his music. He’s writing songs and enjoying being in the studio.

“He’s going to come back with some great new tracks. He really couldn’t be on better form.â€

The get well cards and messages you all sent in to me to pass on to Rob obviously helped do the trick!

Robbie's back for good!

Daily Star

07/04/07

SINGER Robbie Williams is ready to reunite with his old Take That pals, the Daily Star can reveal.

The Angels idol is “thrilled†that his former group are enjoying huge success with their album, Beautiful World.

And Robbie insists a comeback with the world’s biggest boyband “will happenâ€.

In a sensational move, he said he now can’t wait to perform with Gary Barlow, 36, Jason Orange, 36, Howard Donald, 38, and Mark Owen, 35.

Robbie, 33, has just had a stint in a rehab clinic in Los Angeles, where he was treated for an addiction to prescription drugs.

Now he is getting his life back on track by penning a catalogue of new songs.

He’s also been working with a series of top producers in America and is said to be “putting his all†into creating a worldwide hit record.

Last night his proud mum Jan, who has supported her son through his battle with drink and drugs, opened her heart exclusively to the Star.

She confirmed that Robbie wanted to reunite with the band which first shot him to stardom, thanks to hits including Relight My Fire.

Drugs counsellor Jan, 56, said: “He’s thrilled at how Take That have come back.

“On the question of him doing something with them, I feel that will happen. It would be something he wanted to do.

“I’m thrilled that, out of all the negative stuff that happened in the past, there’s now something great happening.

“Take That were excellent when they were all together – and they are excellent now.â€

And former bandmate Jason, who was Robbie’s best pal before the band split in 1995, said he would be welcomed back.

Jason said: “Maybe it’s my romanticism, but I think if we do future albums it’s inevitable Rob will sing with us.â€

Jan – the inspiration behind Robbie’s hit Angels – has revealed she flew out to LA to be there when he left the £700-a-night Cottonwood Clinic on March 6.

And she told his army of fans not to worry, because he is getting his life back on track. She said: “He’s fine. He’s on a good road to recovery.

“He’s enjoying his life and his football, and going out with the lads and having a laugh. It’s great to see.

“He’s doing a lot of writing. He spends a lot of time in the studio. He’s in a very good place.â€

Pals of the singer also say he has been on top form since leaving rehab.

He has since been hitting the LA club scene with a vengeance – but insiders insist his partying is no cause for concern. In fact, it is quite the reverse.

One friend said: “He’s very well and on really good form at the moment.

“We’re just relieved that he’s so happy and back to his best.â€

All this reunion talk is upsetting me. :(

Dont worry Jupiter9 .... there is nothing we can do but wait & see.

It would be worse if Rob announced that he was retiring... that would shut us up fairly quicktime.

The press will be thrilled with all of this at the moment but it was only going to be a matter of time before it took off anyway.

Lots of stories have been the rounds for months & only Rob & TT know for sure what going on.

Do The Daily Star own The Sentinel ( I think that they do ) . I wondered for some time why the repeat a lot of their stories & I think that I saw somewhere they own it.

BTW ... ' Happy Easter ' to everyone.... Make sure to save all the Easter Bunnies in the snow for Rob.

Ok.....

Eugh, it made the front page of the Star

Honestly, Jan should've just kept quiet. If he had've wanted to do it then surely he would'nt before now? I am really getting sick of these rumours.

he wont... he has enjoyed the solo spot light too much, he wont be able to share it with 4 other people... he wont demote himself like that

Same old, same old... lots of speculation, no one really knows anything. <_<

And I'm not sure his mum has done him many favours with those comments

Ossy, basically I'd agree with you, but it's a matter of how to do that reunion. What everyone means by it is that Rob will go on stage with them again for one song or something like that, I don't think anyone truly believes Rob will go back to be a full member of the group again. :puke2:

If he decides to do that one off appearance I think it will indeed be him who the spotlight is on because he's the one coming back.

What I hate about it all is a lot of people thinking he might only do it now because his own career is in crisis. -_-

Has anyone seen the BBC article where all they go on about is TT's success and Rob's decline in RECENT months ? I couldn't be bothered to post it, idiots.

It infuriates me how everyone seems to forget the amazing achievements he's had with his SOLO career in the 10 b****y years before

:arrr: :arrr: :arrr:

he wont... he has enjoyed the solo spot light too much, he wont be able to share it with 4 other people... he wont demote himself like that

as well he shouldn't share it with anyone else especially those 4

He's worked extremely hard to get where he is today, he is bigger and better than TT will ever be why would he want to take 100 steps back. Especially the boring and bland TT of today  who are so desperately holding onto their former glory days. They should stop trying to recreate what they had back then because now it only looks forced. They call themselves a man band but still trying to act like a boy band

I find the whole Sentinel article a bit strange to begin with. I think a lot of what Jan said has been taken out of context just by the way its written and some of her quotes are a bit strange, in one sentence she speaks both in the present and past tense it doesn't make any sense. It would make a lot of sense if the Sentinel is owned by the Daily Star, I find it very suspicious that this was printed days after Barlow's and Jason's comments. Too much of a coincidence for my taste. Plus they could have taken things she said months if not a year ago about TT and mix it with some recent stuff she said about Rob doing well in his recovery to make it into a full article and make it look as if she said all the stuff about TT now.

They call themselves a man band but still trying to act like a boy band

they arent a band, never have been -_- a band can actually play their own instruments

they arent a band, never have been -_- a band can actually play their own instruments

Gary plays piano. ^_^

Gary plays piano. ^_^

well not in every song...im sure you know what i mean jups

they are just the vocals, but they call themselves a band

Gary plays piano. ^_^

and he plays on my nerves but that's besides the point

In all seriousness I don't know why they call them a band they're more of a group to me. When I think of band I do think of people actually playing instruments and not break dancing or whatever it is that Barlow tries to pass off as dancing  ..... or singing ... oops did I just say that out loud  :P

:P

Sky News are flying with the story & each time they have it on they have someone new to give an opinion ( saying that Rob likes to be in the limelight & loves to be the centre of attention ).... We all know he likes being the centre of attention... that is why he is so good at what he does.. he makes the camera & the audience looks at him... that is why we love him... he is not a bland individual who stands there doing nothing... he makes himself look interesting & that is why he can sell out Stadiums in hours.

I think that I need a Panadol.....its' headache time again.

Will he... wont he... Will they... wont they.......

Is Rob working on a new album himself at the moment & if so maybe this comeback talk is for just a one off appearance.... I think that is all that is intended.

oh dear.. this is terrible if it's true. I don't want to see them together again

no regrets...they don't work... :/

I did find one of those articles enlighting, not sure which one it was now.

It states intrestingly that Robbie being on TT second follow up album after Beautiful World will help it to be as successful as the first. I think it relates to Jason Oranges remarks as to why he thinks Robbie will do an album with them. Maybe wrong though, which I hope I am.

We all know that the second album after a huge selling first album can be telling and this will be Take Thats second album in reality.

As the article said, this would be a PR and Marketing Man's dream, the money making dream.
