I did find one of those articles enlighting, not sure which one it was now.

It states intrestingly that Robbie being on TT second follow up album after Beautiful World will help it to be as successful as the first. I think it relates to Jason Oranges remarks as to why he thinks Robbie will do an album with them. Maybe wrong though, which I hope I am.

We all know that the second album after a huge selling first album can be telling and this will be Take Thats second album in reality.

As the article said, this would be a PR and Marketing Man's dream, the money making dream.

Yes it would and I can see TT laying on the love real thick.

I just hope Rob has his dickhead radar switched on full blast and in good working order with those 4.

TT are doing more albums ... ? Now that surprises me, I was convinced they'd do the clever thing and go off again as a hugely successful group that they always were, first time around and now with their comeback.

It's easy to get people excited when you've been away for 10 years. Should be interesting to see how it all develops when they do further albums - but ey, they've got a big loyal fanbase that won't mind them doing the same ballads over and over again so I guess they'll be alright.

I guess there's no chance of TT shocking their fans with a new style

In the NOTW today - Rav's page it's reported that

Robbie Williams has had the mother of all bust ups with his mum Jan.

Rob called her after she claimed he was rejoining Take That. A pal said "Nothing's confirmed. He just could not believe his mum did it.

Whoops.

ohh poor Jan...but thank god nothing has been confirmed

GEORGE BLASTS MEDIA OVER ROBBIE TREATMENT

http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/artic...eatment_1027370

Pop star GEORGE MICHAEL was disgusted by the British media's treatment of ROBBIE WILLIAMS after his former band TAKE THAT reformed. The BACK FOR GOOD foursome reunited last year (06) after a 10 year hiatus - 11 years after the departure of the ROCK DJ star. While Take That's comeback has been a huge financial and chart success, Williams has been struggling with poor sales of his latest album RUDEBOX and a subsequent spell in rehab to treat an addiction to caffeine and prescription medicine. Former WHAM! star Michael says, "Take That came back with a perfectly acceptable record and good for them. "But I can't believe the way the media have treated Robbie Williams over this. "It's their dream come true for Take That to have come back and knocked a bit of stuffing out of him."

I hope that's true because personally I think she deserved a good talking to for making that senseless comment.

When its so obviously all about the money how can they pass up a huge pay cheque.

There would have been no reunion to start with, if there wasn't a big pay cheque dangled in front of the boys.

I just wish someone, somewhere would report that Robbie's 'struggling' album has sold a lot more worldwide than TT's 'smash'.

Going back to Rob and the soccer game in Iowa. I knew LA Vale sounded familiar to me and it finally hit me today, so I did some searching in my pictures and found these

Brand new ideas for Robbie

9thApril2007

LEGENDARY swordsmen RUSSELL BRAND and ROBBIE WILLIAMS must have taken my comments about their pulling tactics to heart.

The teetotal pair took a break from their ongoing shagfest to compare notes at LA’s Chateau Marmont hotel.

I reckon Russell was so worried that Rob was trying to overtake him in my Shaggers League that he flew there just to see what secrets he could pick up.

Strangely, though, there was little interest in the lads among the hotel’s female guests.

Russell told Rob how he was heading to Miami for work.

Girls — consider yourselves warned! And as Robbie has only just returned to action I bet he’d be looking for some tips from Russ.

Watch out for Mr Williams in skinny jeans and hairspray next week.

So what are with those stories about going back with Take That?

I'm a bit lazy to read all pages back. :P

Thanks Tessa.

No one commented on the George Michael article  - am I the only who is delighted that a colleage has spoken up for Rob, at last ... ?

I think it was about time and if he should ever read here  THX, George, respect !

jups, you forget with comparing the TT album and Rudebox, that TT have sold lots more than Rob in the UK and that is the only thing that counts for the press.

I think you said yourself once some think that the world ends at Dover ... ? -_-

In my hometown there isn't a run on the TT tickets, I don't think so because there are still lots of ads on the radio, in papers... they'll be lucky if they sell out by autumn, if at all. I think they overestimated themselves a bit here, they should have chosen a smaller venue, even Nelly Furtado did and she sold a lot more records than TT over here. The big hype is in Britain only and all fingers crossed it will stay like that.

Thanks Tessa.

Monsoon... I think you are right & that all the hype is within the UK which is to be expected at the moment ( lots of sentimental memories second time round ) .. although I never really knew them much first time. If fairness the 4 guys are way better than any other group at the moment ( Patience is a lovely song & really well sung by the guys )... but Rob as a solo artist is really the best. I hope he stays that way & is not tempted back fulltime....ONE off concert I could live with... BACK FOR GOOD as the song says... No Way... . Rob's work is completely different now to TT ... so I hope he stays as a solo artist.

He badly needs to improve his Videos though... some of last years where CHEESY to say the least, especially Sin,Sin,Sin & Advertising Space... I did not like them at all .

Well done to George for standing up for him & I think that Rob needs to stand up for himself as well & tell the press where to go.

I know with all these news headlines about Take That and Robbie lead people to believe he is re-joining his old band, but there was never any doubt in my mind that it would only ever be as a one off appearance. There is no way that I would ever think that he would go back to the group on a permanent basis

I think its safe to say that Robbie will remain a solo act.

I don't believe it for a moment either. That's why I'm only teasing and not getting too upset.

Robbie is a total big head (in a nice way but he is). After years of being centre of attention and captivating crowds of hundreds of thousands there is no way on God's earth that he would revert to being, in effect, Gary Barlow's backing singer. With the odd solo thrown in for effect.

Come on. He's probably the best frontman/entertainer/showman (call it what you will) in the World today. And he knows it too.

All this is just silly talk by a very deluded press.

Agreed 100%....Bug head & all... but it suits him... B)

Yes, indeed, Rudebox has sold nearly 3.5 million worldwide, which is almost twice as many as BW has, and almost 10 times more outside the UK. #1 in 14 countries, I do not believe TT's album has hit the top spot anywhere apart from the UK. I am not in any way slagging TT off by saying that, it is just a FACT, and I am beyond sick of Robbie being slagged off due to Rudebox's sales based on just the UK sales. And they never mention that it was an electro/dance album that got virtually ZERO promotion from Robbie himself or even EMI, so to even compare it to TT with their album is pop ballads with endless promotion on what must be hundreds of TV/radio shows is beyond a joke. Compare it to one of his 6 albums that have sold over 2 million in the UK alone (a feat no other act in music history has yet to match, not even the Beatles) is you must, but certainly not to an experimental non promoted album that is anything but commercial or mainstream like TT's and most of Rob's previous albums.

It just infuriates me that due to the media's downright ignorance and witch hunt on Rob, that the vast majority of the public seriously believe that his career in in thatters and some even to suggest he is only going back to TT to cash in on their success. I seriously worry for the sanity of such individuals. I don't think they have even the slightest clue as to what they are talking about. As if Rob would give up being the single most successful music artist outside the US, to 'cash in' on a group who are only really successful in the UK. It is just beggers belief and ridiculous in so many ways. Such people need a wake up call and fast. I do wonder wether they are just ignorant and have no idea how big Rob is outside the UK or if they just refuse to see it.

If you ask me, Jan should be letting the public know these facts, not give the press and some of the public exuses to slag him off even further. I know that was'nt her intention, but it is making Rob look a bit desperate to alot of people which is very annoying.

I personally hope Rob stays away from the whole thing, the TT reunion & the music industy for quite some time, a couple of years infact. He does not need such c**p and such enourmous pressure. If he released another album this year, I really do not think it would do well with the current attitude of him in the UK, and it would just give the press more amunition and just damage his legacy he has built up over the past 11 years futher. I would rather he concentrated on his personal life. He did say in the Big Issue interview that he has no more ambitions professionally, and how it was all about his personal life. Hopefully he continues to write loads of music, and then in a year or two when he feels like it's right to come back then do so. By then everyone will have missed him and realised how great he is hopefully.
