I wish people would concentrate on the fact that Ronson said the new tracks are brilliant and not an experiment like Rudebox - but of course all the talk is about Rob wanting to spank the AM, which was probably said as a lame joke by Rob. Thanks a lot Mr. Ronson and Victoria Newton for making it a headline, I bet many will take it seriously and it will give them further proof of their image of Rob, namely that he's an arrogant idiot.

Sometimes I'm just past caring... :(

The new material sounds great, but I hope we won't get to hear it for quite a time, he shouldn't have a new album out before 2008.

Is'nt it silly that nearly 20 sites have picked up on this story of Rob defending Ronson, whilst The George Michael story about him slamming the press for their treatment of Rob was only picked up by one or two sites. Anything to make Rob look bad.

TARA PALMER-TOMKINSON

Mirror

TARA Palmer-Tomkinson has admitted she slept with Robbie Williams - because she likes a bit of rough.

TP-T, 35, revealed: "I have a soft spot for the working class. I think he liked a bit of posh totty.

I hate posh people because I grew up with them."

Do you feel bad about selling that story about you and Robbie?

Let me get this straight, I never sold a story on Robbie. On the day after I won Fame Academy, a newspaper said that my stories about Robbie were always more embellished when I sold them. But I never sold them. Robbie and I were always very open about our relationship. If you have 7 concierge guys parking your car at a hotel then one of them is going to click that I'm sleeping with the guy in the penthouse.

When were you together?

Robbie actually wrote Life Thru A Lens for me 'She's looking real drab, just out of rehab' but I didn't want him then, he was off his kite. Then we came together and everything was good. He's still a huge part of my life. We're not in contact as much as he's in LA and he knows the story wasn't mine when it hit the papers. We knew who it was and when it was.

Do you think he'll get over his rehab stint?

Yeah, he went to the same one as me in Arizona. He's already over it. When I've been with him, he couldn't have been more centered and more grounded. But I would say, from somebody who has been with the best therapists, that he has been so nannied and has spent the last decade with sexy dancers and women willing to pull down his trousers. He spends his life with girls all the time, his life is not real.

This guy just wants a mother figure, someone who'll give him a cup of tea. The thing is, I don't make great tea but I do make a good Bellini.

What was it about Robbie that you liked?

I have soft spot for the working class. I think he liked a bit of posh totty. I hate posh people because I grew up with them.

LIFE: Blast from the Past- Robbie William's 'Feel'

Released in late 2002 from Robbie Williams' fifth studio album "Escapology," the song "Feel" became Williams' biggest international hit, selling over four million copies worldwide and reaching the top 10 in every European country.

The video, featuring Williams and actress Daryl Hannah as on a western ranch, managed to attract attention in the United States, leading radio stations to play the track and allowing the song to become one of Williams' rare top-charting singles on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Feel" was written by Williams and frequent collaborator Guy Chambers. The track was recorded as a demo, but when Williams started working on the album and tried to re-record the vocals, he disliked them. He included the demo version on "Escapology," and released it as the first single.

"Feel" is a beautiful song -- a mid-tempo ballad about a man's desire to feel love. The lyrics are well-written, and the song itself is wonderful for those who are getting older and longing for soul mates and lovers.

For readers who have heard about Robbie Williams' success and music should definitely consider this song to be among his best, including "Millennium," "Rock DJ," and his signature song, "Angels."

Williams is currently enjoying success in the UK and other countries in Europe with his newest album, "Rudebox," featuring the title track, "Lovelight," and his current single "She's Madonna."

Robbie 'working class'? His parents ran a pub. He'd have been considered the upper class son of a tycoon where I grew up.... :P

Rob composes footie score

The Sun

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t33/therobbiewilliamssite/sun4.jpg

ROBBIE WILLIAMS’ love for footie is taking him on tour.

Robbie and his celeb-packed Hollywood team LA Vale have agreed to play in an exhibition match in backwater US state Iowa to raise money for a leukaemia charity.

He will face local outfit the Des Moines Menace with team-mates including Grey’s Anatomy star RICHARD JENIK and SANTIAGO CABRERA, from Heroes, at the Des Moines Cownie Soccer Complex on April 21.

It’s no Wembley. But it’s not often you can see Robbie perform for around a fiver.

Having said that, once you pay for flights and a hotel, the cost is the same as a UK ticket bought on eBay

Meet the man of the moment[/b]

The Sun

IF there’s one man whose name is on everyone’s lips at the moment, it’s DJ-turned-producer Mark Ronson.

After making a name for himself by discovering Lily Allen, making Amy Winehouse a star, and even being asked to DJ at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding, now it’s time for the Anglo-American to steal some of the limelight for himself with the release of his album, Version.

The album features a collection of some of his favourite tracks in recent years, reworked and reinvented into dancefloor, horn-infused modern soul with the help of some of his friends.

Brit winner Amy, Lily, Robbie Williams, Maximo Park’s Paul Smith and Aussie newcomer Daniel Merriweather all provide guest vocals on covers of hits including Radiohead’s Just; Kaiser Chiefs’ Oh My God; Britney Spears’ Toxic; The Zutons’ Valerie and The Charlatans’ The Only One I Know.

Stop Me, a mix of The Smiths’ Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One Before with The Supremes’ You Keep Me Hangin’ On, has already given Mark a Top Ten chart hit and iTunes No1. He told SFTW: “It’s funny how Stop Me has got so big because when I made it I thought no one will hear this — just my crowd.

“My friend wrote Avril Lavigne’s song, Girlfriend. I called him to give him s*** because he has been No1 for ever.

“I said, ‘Man your dumb-ass song is keeping me out of the No1 slot’ and then I saw we were No1 on iTunes. I guess I’d sent him enough bad karma to take his spot.â€

However, there have been some die-hard Smiths fans giving Mark earache over the cover.

“I have been getting a few emails and MySpace messages from some angry Smiths fans, but it doesn’t mean I’m going to apologise. I have no need to as I’ve got approval from both Morrissey and Johnny Marr.

“I usually ignore the few remarks I get saying ‘Hey w****r’ and anything vitriolic. But then the other day I ended up writing this giant reply back to one guy and I think it has silenced them all now. I told him how Stop Me If You’ve Heard This One Before is my favourite song of all time. I heard it when I was 15 and it changed my life. Skip ahead ten years and I am playing hip hop in clubs and trying to broaden people’s horizons to other styles of music out there.

“So the very first version of Stop Me that I recorded with Daniel Merriweather was sent to Morrissey and Johnny Marr.

“If they weren’t cool with it then I wouldn’t have gone any further as I have too much respect for them.

“Johnny Marr approved it and Morrissey came back and said, ‘I really like this and I really like this kid singing, he’s got a lovely voice’.

As for the disapproval from Arctic Monkeys singer Alex Turner, Mark laughs: “Oh dear! I don’t have a problem with the Arctic Monkeys and I like them as a band. To use the R&B tag to slag the song off is silly as most of contemporary music comes from R&B — whether you like it or not!

"The first time Johnny Marr and Morrissey ever got together they played The Marvelettes — that’s R&B. And when they were making the album Strangeways, Here We Come, every night they would listen to Northern Soul.â€

It was finding a track for mate Robbie Williams that took the longest for Mark. They finally settled on The Charlatans’ anthem The Only One I Know.

“We went through so many tracks as Robbie is such a muso which people don’t realise. We both have very similar tastes in music from Houston rappers like Scarface to Ryan Adams and stuff like that. We both finally agreed on The Charlatans song and it really suits his style of singing.â€

Being London-born but raised in New York, Mark’s accent is a strange transatlantic mixture.

The son of American writer Ann Dexter-Jones and band manager Laurence Ronson (and not Mick Ronson, legendary guitarist with David Bowie) Mark moved to the Big Apple with his mother when he was eight.

His mother remarried Mick Jones, the guitarist in Foreigner, and his best mate was Sean Lennon. Good looking, cool and a face on the music scene, he started DJing at 15 after falling in love with Hip-Hop and soon became the big name on the New York club scene.

But Mark reckons his connections have been exaggerated.

“I’ve read stuff about me that makes me nauseous. I don’t even like me. For one it’s been said my dad was a real estate tycoon — he managed bands. Then I’ve heard that I used to hang out with Paul and Linda McCartney as a kid. That’s so not true.â€

Mark might downplay his celebrity links but there is no denying he is one of the most in-demand DJs and hottest producers now.

He says: “I think it’s funny now being called ‘famous’, as just a year ago, when I was working with Lily, I didn’t have a record deal or any money.

“My dad reads The Sun before he goes to work and laughs when he sees my name in it. I’ve been out with Amy on nights out where she has had 18 photographers chasing after her. I crashed at hers after The Brits and the next day we were chased down the street like the T100 in the film Terminator.â€

With his success there are new and established acts queuing up to work with him, but Mark says he is taking extra care about who he says yes to.

“I have no desire to become a celebrity so I am taking my time over future work projects.

“I could never work with someone like Madonna as I hate confrontation. I like to work with singers who are still quite new so we grow and find a sound organically together.â€

strange

Pesci Clashes With Robbie Williams Over Parking.

17th April 2007 07:15:45

Pesci Clashes With Robbie Williams Over Parking.... Joe Pesci had a blazing argument with British pop star Robbie Williams after one of the singer's friends blocked the actor's driveway.

The Goodfellas actor lives next door to the former Take That singer in the Hollywood Hills and was furious when he realised where one of Williams' pals had parked.

Williams had invited a host of his English pals to play soccer at his home, which had its own full-sized football pitch, and didn't have enough driveway space to accommodate all their vehicles, much to the disdain of Pesci.

British newspaper Daily Mirror reports Pesci stormed out of his home, brandishing a golf club and shouting, "Which one of you motherf**kers blocked my drive? If you don't move in 30 seconds, I'm gonna smash your windscreen."

A friend of Williams says, "At first, Robbie stood there smirking when Pesci bounded over waving a club. But he quickly realised the seriousness of the situation and ordered his pals to move their cars.

"Robbie has never had any sort of dispute with his neighbours before and has now given his mates strict instructions to steer clear of Pesci's driveway."

Williams' spokesperson confirmed the incident had taken place
