Posted April 16, 200619 yr Courtesy of Billboard Destiny's Child principal Kelly Rowland is putting the finishing touches on her second solo set, "My Story: Kelly Rowland," which will arrive July 11 via Columbia/Sony Urban Music. The singer previewed cuts from the album for members of the media last week. Singer/songwriter Tank wrote and produced several tracks and is featured on "The Show," while guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Shawnna and Remy Ma are still in the works. Rowland is also considering adding Houston rappers to the mix. Rowland says the upcoming album is more personal than her 2002 solo debut "Simply Deep," which bowed at No. 12 on The Billboard 200 and has sold nearly 600,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. "This album is very different from the last record. It was so alternative and this record is urban," says Rowland. "I wanted to go back to my roots [because] that's where I started and that's what feels natural to me." Many of the tracks are relationship-driven, something Rowland says she is not hesitant about discussing. "I just went in the studio and just did me, because I think that's when you get your best product," she says. "That's when it's just natural. It just flew out of my mouth and came out in lyrics [and] I had great writers involved." Here is the tentative track listing for "My Story: Kelly Rowland": "Gots To Go" "Work Her Man" "Still in Love With My Ex" "Ghetto" "The Show" featuring Tank "Every Thought Is You" "Better Without You" "Wat It Do" "Flashback" "Tell Me" "Can't Do It Again" "Just Me" "Back On" "This Is Love" Edited April 22, 201114 yr by LϴVETT
April 16, 200619 yr I hope its more of Kelly's first album and less of Destiny's Child last album. If its more the latter, it will be vomit-inducing. :puke2: And a great shame :(
April 16, 200619 yr The title sounds more like the title of a Greatest Hits than a studio album, totally lacking in any imagination.
April 16, 200619 yr Sounds really boring. She's my favourite child - as a trio theyre sickening Beyonce is just overated and makes me feel sick I really loved Kelly's last album especially 'Stole' This sounds like it will be the usual $h!t America produces so well.
April 17, 200619 yr I  kelly Ive heard 'Flashack' and it's a very good song, uptempo and wont appeal to chavs :cheer: Ive heard another and I cant remember the name of it, but it samples the same song as her song with Trina. Im not sure if it got on the album, it wasnt a very good track anyway. So looking forward to this though :cheer:
