Posted April 5, 200718 yr http://i.thisislondon.co.uk/i/pix/galleries/showbiz/flushedaway/etonrdPA_350x250.jpg Named after the dance school they all attended when they were younger, Eton Road (David, James, Daniel and Anthony) have been singing for years in shows, competition and cabarets. But it wasnt until their star turn on X-Factor that they really came together as a band. Having wowed the crowds in paricular with their renditions of ABBA's 'Does Your Mother Know' and Scissor Sisters' 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing', the boys may not have made it to the final, but they have now signed their first recording deal and look set to release their debut album in early Summer. Eton Road's first single will be an original song (no cover!) and is written by Brain Higgins who did most of Girls Aloud's songs. The single is still due for release in May, but album will most likely get postponed 'till August/September. The boys are currently recording and writing stuff for the new album HMV have cancelled all preorders for the album Edited April 5, 200718 yr by Dino
April 5, 200718 yr I still believe the album will be released but obviously that may not be for several months yet so I expect that it why pre-orders have been cancelled. They will at least get one single.
April 6, 200718 yr i have a weird feeling about these. in my opinion i think they are great and loved them on the X factor. But i think it will either go great for them or AWFUL :( hope they do well!!
April 6, 200718 yr i have a weird feeling about these. in my opinion i think they are great and loved them on the X factor. But i think it will either go great for them or AWFUL :( hope they do well!! Yeah I agree. I must admit that tbh I fear that whilst they will probably get a top 20 single, the album will flop.
April 6, 200718 yr I thought they had an album out this week No. They haven't even released a single yet.
April 6, 200718 yr These guys have been working extremely hard since the XFactor, doing loads of live gigs at small venues all over the country. I thought they were great on the show and I hope they're successful. Hopefully, if they do release an album in September, it won't be the usual covers tosh but some good original pop songs, like the male version of Girls Aloud I hope :D
April 6, 200718 yr I thought they had an album out this week You must be thinking of the McDonald Brothers
April 6, 200718 yr Oh not them as well. :arrr: That will bring a total of FOUR X Factor 2006 albums. :manson: Leona's will no doubt outshine them all though, seeing as she's making us wait so long.
April 6, 200718 yr it won't be the usual covers tosh but some good original pop songs, like the male version of Girls Aloud I hope :D I can all but hope. I'm getting so sick of these Westlife clones because of X-Factor that just release albums filled to the brim of lifeless, lame cover versions. :arrr:
April 6, 200718 yr I think eton road are different, they seem more credible, i think they will have a good few singles, uptempo ones too. Remember 'I don't feel like dancing' was there best.
