Robbie Williams' mother has revealed that she expects the singer to reunite with Take That.

Jan Williams admitted that Robbie is amazed by the success of the group's comeback tour and new album Beautiful World, assuring fans that a full reunion is now on the cards.

Her comments follow Robbie's recent 21-day stint in an Arizona rehab clinic to tackle an addiction to prescription drugs.

"He's thrilled at how Take That have come back. On the question of him doing something with them, I feel that will happen," Jan explained. "It would be something he wanted to do. I'm thrilled out of all the negative stuff that happened in the past there's now something great happening."

Mmmmm

Well it's in the Sun & the Daily Star so it must be true...

Robbie will sing with Take That

The Sun online: Victoria Newton's Bizarre

April 07, 2007

I’VE lost count of the number of times a ROBBIE WILLIAMS reunion with TAKE THAT has been either on or off.

But now a real voice of authority has spoken on Robbie’s behalf and insisted he will work with the boys again — his beloved mum Jan.

Take That’s JASON ORANGE hinted at a Robbie collaboration when he said this week: “Maybe it’s my romanticism, but I think if we do future albums it’s inevitable Rob will sing with us.â€

And Jan agrees. She said: “I don’t think Robert has a problem with that. He’s thrilled at how Take That have come back.

“On the question of him doing something with them, that will happen.

“It would be something he wanted to do.

“I’m thrilled that out of all the negative stuff that happened in the past there’s now something great happening.

“Take That were excellent when they were all together and they are excellent now.â€

Jan flew to Los Angeles to be there when her boy left rehab early around a month ago.

She said he has completed his course of treatment and is back working hard on his music. She added: “He’s OK, he’s fine, he’s on a good recovery.

“He’s enjoying life and his football and going out with the lads and having a laugh.

“It’s great to see. He’s doing a lot of writing.â€

Jan is now back in the UK after jetting home having spent time with her son in LA.

She flew to his side when he checked out of an Arizona rehab clinic following treatment for addiction to prescription drugs.

The singer — pictured above outside trendy Hollywood haunt Hyde on Thursday — has been out clubbing almost every night since he got home, just like fellow Rehab Raver Lindsay Lohan.

I bumped into Rob’s pal MAX BEESLEY in London’s Groucho Club last week and he spoke excitedly about the new songs Rob is working on.

Max said: “Rob’s brilliant at the moment — the best he’s been in years and he’s buzzing with his music. He’s writing songs and enjoying being in the studio.

“He’s going to come back with some great new tracks. He really couldn’t be on better form.â€

The get well cards and messages you all sent in to me to pass on to Rob obviously helped do the trick!

Robbie's back for good!

Daily Star

07/04/07

SINGER Robbie Williams is ready to reunite with his old Take That pals, the Daily Star can reveal.

The Angels idol is “thrilled†that his former group are enjoying huge success with their album, Beautiful World.

And Robbie insists a comeback with the world’s biggest boyband “will happenâ€.

In a sensational move, he said he now can’t wait to perform with Gary Barlow, 36, Jason Orange, 36, Howard Donald, 38, and Mark Owen, 35.

Robbie, 33, has just had a stint in a rehab clinic in Los Angeles, where he was treated for an addiction to prescription drugs.

Now he is getting his life back on track by penning a catalogue of new songs.

He’s also been working with a series of top producers in America and is said to be “putting his all†into creating a worldwide hit record.

Last night his proud mum Jan, who has supported her son through his battle with drink and drugs, opened her heart exclusively to the Star.

She confirmed that Robbie wanted to reunite with the band which first shot him to stardom, thanks to hits including Relight My Fire.

Drugs counsellor Jan, 56, said: “He’s thrilled at how Take That have come back.

“On the question of him doing something with them, I feel that will happen. It would be something he wanted to do.

“I’m thrilled that, out of all the negative stuff that happened in the past, there’s now something great happening.

“Take That were excellent when they were all together – and they are excellent now.â€

And former bandmate Jason, who was Robbie’s best pal before the band split in 1995, said he would be welcomed back.

Jason said: “Maybe it’s my romanticism, but I think if we do future albums it’s inevitable Rob will sing with us.â€

Jan – the inspiration behind Robbie’s hit Angels – has revealed she flew out to LA to be there when he left the £700-a-night Cottonwood Clinic on March 6.

And she told his army of fans not to worry, because he is getting his life back on track. She said: “He’s fine. He’s on a good road to recovery.

“He’s enjoying his life and his football, and going out with the lads and having a laugh. It’s great to see.

“He’s doing a lot of writing. He spends a lot of time in the studio. He’s in a very good place.â€

Pals of the singer also say he has been on top form since leaving rehab.

He has since been hitting the LA club scene with a vengeance – but insiders insist his partying is no cause for concern. In fact, it is quite the reverse.

One friend said: “He’s very well and on really good form at the moment.

“We’re just relieved that he’s so happy and back to his best.â€

Wouldn't that be awesome, I would love to see the boys back together occasionally or even 'for good' though I can't see that happening, now and again would be FAB though :cheer:

Yes it would be quite something if it finally happened, and i think it could very well happen too.

I think it is pretty inevitable that this will happen , but as a Take That fan I would want it to happen when all sides want it to, not just because Robbie wants to do it.

The boys have such a tight friendship now as a foursome that I really don't think Robbie fits in anymore..... I wouldn't want him to come in and take the spotlight off the others, he has his own career as a solo artist.

What I would like to see though is him doing some writing with the boys, perhaps for a future album...... a Barlow/Williams song would be absolutely fantastic, probably a sure fire number 1 and Gary says in his book that they always had fun writing together....maybe that's what Robbie needs to do, rather than come back and do an old song and go off again, just for the sake of it.

Yes i agree with you there, that would be a much better arrangement.

Well all the others have said time and time again that they would like him to join, and unless Robbie himself said very recently that he he wants to do it then I find it a little hard to believe, as Jan's comments certainly do not corespond with some of the headlines from the press. But tbh, I don't see it happening. A one off performance for a charity would be the most suitable thing to do, and would finally put an end to these non-stop rumours about a reunion. Preferably the Diana concert in the summer, but that is of course if both parties actually wanted to do it.

I agree about Robbie not fitting in anymore, and to be perfectly honest I don't think he ever quite fitted in at all, especially musically. He is far better staying as a solo artist. The only way a Robbie/Gary songwriting collaberation would happen is if they both put their personal differences aside and I certainly cannot see that happening. I am getting beyond bored with the endless rumours, which is why it would be better to just get it over with imo, then Robbie could get on with his career and TT could get on with theirs.

im sorryi have to disagree with that because no one knew back in the early 90;s knew how robbie would be"musically" on his own

he fitted perfectly in with take that back then it was just in the late 90;s thing changed and that i can agree on that he didnt really fit in the late 90's.

When I said musically I mean, the sort of music he liked. He as a young kid, seemed to be much more into rap, and then wanted to be in a band like Oasis later on in a mid 90's. Perhaps he was embaressed which is understandable at that age, which is why I said he did'nt quite fit in. One thing is for sure though, he definatly does'nt fit in now at all imo, but a one off performance woud finally put an end to all the speculation.

Geraldine I could have sworn you were a Robbie fan too. I am so shocked to know that perhaps Robbie comes second in your estimation.

But at least you admit that Robbie could steal the limelight (again) but I would defo find a writing collabration interesting for sure.

Gary is a good songwriter and Robbie is a great lyricist, and I would love to hear what they could produce together.

Edited by Susie

i think if they work together it will be take that and robbie willilams or robbie williams and take that, that will be listed

i know robbie is still doing well sales wise but not as well and i firmly believe many fans were disappointed he didnt do the itv interview over a year ago you know the interview that got take that back together

I wouldn't tbh like robbie to reform IMO. They are both exceptional artists on their own :) Take That and Robbie are multi-million song selling artists, if so i agree with FTF, it should/would be Take That and Robbie Williams, or vicer-versa ^_^

if Robbie goes on stage with TT, it should be as the solo icon he is and that is why I don't see it working. Gary would never run the risk of being upstaged and I think he could be. Robbie's vocals are so much stronger and more powerful now than when he was first in the band and Robbie has developed his rather charismatic solo way of performing. I don't see Robbie and Gary blending at all.

and I have a funny feeling that it is only Jason and Mark that would like this to happen, i get a different message coming from Gary and Howard. Certainly the press quotes indicate it that way too me.

interesting Geraldine about the songwriting partnership of Williams/Barlow. It would be fab if they did work on something together and I would love to hear the end result. But who would be the lyricist and who would write melody?

Edited by Jackie

i disagree jackie, gary is by far a better singer than robbie and robbie is a far better performer than gary

atthe moment take that are far far biggerthan robbie and without take that in the first place there would be no robbie and without robbie;s solo success we wouldnt have the take that success now, they are all a package and no one is bigger than the other

The way I see it is, if it happens, it happens and I will be very happy if it does. :cheer: If it doesn't, then fine...lets not disagree on who does what, how and when, both are great . Personally, I feel it will be a one off concert, record and if that happens cool!  :cheer:

Robbie Williams has had the mother of all bust ups with his mum Jan.

Rob called her after she claimed he was rejoining Take That. A pal said "Nothing's confirmed. He just could not believe his mum did it.

just a snippet from the Robbie News Thread...

...personally i think Robbie and TT have out grown each other so i dont see this happening

I think so too, but there is no harm in hoping ^_^

i think its media hype promo for robbie again

I would hardly call it promo. Promo is something an act beneifits from, the only thing that the press are doing to Rob is trying to ruin his career clearly. <_<

I personally doubt any of that even happened. It is just the NOTW and their endless lies probebly.
