Q is a music and entertainment magazine published monthly in the United Kingdom.

Founders Mark Ellen and David Hepworth were dismayed by the music press of the time which they felt did not cater for the generation of older music buyers who were buying the then new CD technology from artists other magazines would ignore such as Paul Simon, Level 42, or Dire Straits

Kaiser Chiefs, Keane, Coldplay, Athlete, all those sorts of bands, basically just Guitar Pop/Britpop.... Fall Out Boy are basically just Busted now, so consign them to the Pop Forum.... Good Charlotte and MCR are pretty borderline as well.....

Good Charlotte and MCR are way, way, way over the border - so are Fall Out Boy.

Kaiser Chiefs I would just about keep in here. Arctic Monkeys definitely (being on a proper indie label for a start)

Keane / Snow Patrol etc I wouldn't put in here.

Q, like the NME, has been forced to change its demographic in order to stay alive. The content, views and reviews have all gotten worse, but Q's readership has gone up as they appeal to LCDs

God yeah, I can actually remember the days when reading NME (and Melody Maker...) was almost like a religion... It was just such a bloody great read, with writers who weren't scared to engage critically with the reader and really get to the heart of things...

Arctic Monkeys deffo keep, aint that keen on the music, but being on Domino does make them Indie... Even if their music publishers are EMI....
