April 12, 200718 yr I thought he retired from music? Does he still have the same band as the previous album or has the line up changed?
April 12, 200718 yr I thought he retired from music? Does he still have the same band as the previous album or has the line up changed? Well, he aint married anymore is he...? I dont ever think it was his intention was to 'retire' as such, he was just taking a LOT of time out to give Dita a good seeing to....  And, well, if you were married to someone like Dita Von Teese, you wouldn't really be too keen on leaving the bedroom either..... As for his band, I think Tim Skold is in there, but it's such a 'revolving door' policy on band members, who knows....?
April 12, 200718 yr First single will be Heart-Shaped Glasses , and you can hear a preview of it here: http://www.radiofrance.fr/chaines/lemouv/rockhit/ For Marilyn Manson, that sounds a bit, pop
April 17, 200718 yr I cant seem to get these bloody tracks to play when I go on that website..... <_< Is it up on You Tube...?
April 18, 200718 yr It's on his myspace. Heard it... Well, it's going back to the "Anti-Christ Superstar" days kinda... But I dont think it's as good as anything on that album... Still, it's better than most stuff he's done since then...

April 18, 200718 yr I think it's a really boring song. Turned it off half way through. Well, I for one am glad that it didn't sound like some pathetic MCR-style 'Emo Kid' anthem, which it almost certainly could have considering the title... I reckon this might be Manson going back-to-basics in a way similar to his mentor Trent Reznor has with NIN's pretty fantastic new album "Year Zero", which is pretty much jettisoned most of the poppy, more commercial aspects of the last couple of NIN albums... I'm personally glad of it tbh, "Year Zero" is a pretty neat slice of experimental electronica infused with a hard Rock sound, it's not quite as 'out there' as Skinny Puppy's last album, but hell, it's probably the best NIN album since "Downward Spiral" for sure... I haven't had the desire to want to actually skip any tracks like I did with some of "The Fragile" and "With Teeth".... Good to see "Alternative" being Alternative again.....
April 18, 200718 yr I wouldn't mind hearing Heart-Shaped Glasses but it won't play it on that french website.

April 18, 200718 yr Just listened to "Heart Shaped Glasses" on You Tube.... Oh dear...... Scratch what I said earlier about MM going back to the style of "AntiChrist Superstar".... HeartShaped Glasses sounds like an MCR b-side.... :o Bad, really bad....
April 18, 200718 yr I'm not sure what I make of it tbh. I think it's better than the other new song because it's not as boring, but it's nothing special.
April 18, 200718 yr just listened to 'if i was your vampire' sounds good but mabye a bit boring, ill have to listen to the single also, dont know if he can make anything as good as the older stuff
April 18, 200718 yr will have to take a listen, i think mansons great, Manson was pretty great once upon a time, but musically he's just been going downhill since "Anti-Christ Superstar", and those lousy cover versions, dont get me started.... His mentor, Trent Reznor has just released what is probably one of the best albums of the decade, "Year Zero", a pretty damned impressive piece of Electronica/Alternative... I suggest you invest in that instead.... Even the worst NIN album is always gonna be better than the last three Manson ones....
