Hm, I don't know Osiris. New artists will always be compared to someone, it's inevitable. The fact that all up and coming male artists like Mika get compared to Rob tells me that Rob's success is the ultimate goal, what all the newbies will be measured by. I'm ok with that. Says something about Rob's great achievements, that's the way I see it. B)

HA ! Sorry for getting excited, I jump at every slightly positive comment as they are so rare these days -_-

So true though what they say - I think Mika is alright and he's the man of the moment, but let's see where he is in five years.

I dont think that Mika ( real name Mica Penniman ) will be even remembered in five years... he is ok....but he is no Robbie Williams.. ( no matter what the papers like to portray ) <_<

i like those words, monsoon ^_^ ^_^

I quite like Mika actually. He makes great catchy pop music that always puts me in a good mood. When Grace Kelly first came out, I loved it, then it got overplayed to death and I am so sick of it. I downloaded the album weeks before it initially came out and I loved every single track, then I played it so much I got totally sick of it and have'nt played it since. I think his voice is to high, it annoys me after a while. He is like loads of different singers rolled into one, his voice mainly sounds like Freddie Mercury obviously, but some tracks on his album such as 'My Interpritation and Big Girls could easily be Rob tracks imo, Big Girls reminds me of Wimmin

And unlike most pop stars, he is actually very talented as a musician, not manifactured like most of them these days. <_<

I look forward to future collaberations between those. The Actor was superb.

Scotty... You are thinking along the same lines as me... I think The Actor is the best track Rob has done in a long time...it's very different & very, very modern....fabulous beat to it, really special & its sounds so good every time you play it... its really my favourite of Robs' for a long time. ;)

I though that it was very interesting where Brandon said that it was very difficult to get the chance to work with Rob due to time constraints of the tour.... I think you can see that though in the whole Rudebox album...that is why I have always said that I felt that Rudebox was done somewhat in a rush ( maybe an album was created that was not intended to happen at the time ) & I also feel that if Rob & his collaborators had more time that the finished product of Rudebox would have been really something special. It is a very good album but I have always felt it was rushed.

.... Im thinking if Rob & Brandon continue working on the same kind of stuff that they could really create something special...... ;) I just feel those two guys click & I thought that those sites were very interesting..... B)

Hopefuls line up for Take That musical

By Rashid Razaq, Evening Standard 03.05.07

More than 100 hopefuls turned out today for open auditions to star in the new West End Take That musical.

Dozens of Robbie Williams wannabes, a number of Mark Owens, a handful of Jason Oranges and at least one Gary Barlow queued in Covent Garden for a chance of fame.

Classically trained actor Simon Wegrzyn, 23, who has just finished a run in the RSC's Henry V, was hoping to win over the judges with a Les Misérables number in his bid to land the role of Mark Owen.

Wegrzyn, of Shoreditch, said: "It's a musical number but I'm going do it in a pop style. I'm hoping to stand out in the crowd. It's a fantastic opportunity. Take That's back catalogue is awesome but their new stuff is really credible."

Producers Tristan Baker and Charlie Parsons said they were hoping to find an "undiscovered gem" among the drama students, children's performers and call centre workers who responded to the audition adverts.

Mr Baker said: "They are going to have to be able to sing, act and dance. It's very demanding. We've already seen over 400 professionals with agents. But we need to make sure we look at as many people as possible. We've got time to train them if they have talent but they will need to have some physical resemblance to the band members."

Holiday resort performer Kevin Nash, 28, from South Croydon, said: "I am going to sing a Westlife song. It's a boy band song but I don't think it's a good idea to do a Take That song. I have been performing all sorts of stuff over the last few years so if I got this, this would be my breakthrough."

The Never Forget show, written by Danny Brocklehurst, will open at an unnamed West End theatre this autumn after a UK tour.

Featuring Take That No 1 hits such as Pray, Relight My Fire and Back For Good, it tells the story of five friends who form a tribute band.

Resort singer Leejay Townsend, 26, from Leicester, said he would be performing The Final Countdown by Swedish rockers Europe in order to "present a blank slate to the judges".

He added: "I perform a Robbie Williams tribute show and that always goes down very well, so I've got Angels in reserve if I think things aren't going too well. I think I'm quite similar to Robbie in that I'm very comical and cheeky."

With a couple of 6ft Mark Owen imitators and a bald Jason Orange at the auditions, few of the hopefuls bore a physical likeness to Take That members.

Australian Daniel Koek, 25, who has just finished touring with the musical Night Fever in the Far East, said he had not known the Take That phenomenon while he was growing up, but he hoped his rendition of Robbie Williams's Angels would see him through to the next round of auditions.

Take That want Williams back

04/05/2007 - 14:12:57

Reformed British pop group Take That have hinted former band member Robbie Williams may join them on their UK tour later this year.

The Never Forget hitmakers split in 1996 - a year after Williams quit the band - and reunited to record a new album, A Beautiful World, in early last year.

The foursome have admitted they would love to have the Rudebox star - currently seeking therapy in the US for addiction to prescription drugs - join them on stage again.

Singer Howard Donald says: "It would be lovely to have Robbie join us and let's just say we're keeping in touch about it.

"Having Robbie on stage with is to sing a few numbers would be amazing and we'll have to wait and see if he's up for it. We certainly are."

The Beautiful World Tour kicks off in Birmingham, England, in November.

There has been a few of you downloading the BFA album ..i would love your thoughts on it, i think its a bit different. This will be a CD at some point in the near future ,its going to be an EP instead of a full blown album. The Dogwood album has sold another THREE copies!which i'm thrilled about, there are still some original copies left...well i think its good.

Robbie Williams to Join Take That at Diana Concert Free For All

Written by carina-eta

Story written: 03 May 2007

Robbie Williams agent today confirmed that he will be joining his old band Take That at the free for all that is the Diana concert. Following a slide in his career Robbie has at last decided that it might be prudent to clutch that last straw being tentatively offered by his old band-mates.

Robbie's agent said today that she was certain Robbie would be on top form following his stint in rehab and that he will almost certainly be singing solo, hogging the limelight, upstaging his fellow band mates and generally taking over the whole gig in a prat-like manner.

Mark Owen commented "I hope he doesn't push us off the stage again, I'm still a bit delicate from last time"

When questioned about the wisdom of asking Karaoke King Williams to join them on stage, formerly fat star Gary Barlow responded, "Well, you see, now its my turn, last time Robbie dumped us and got a great solo career and wads of cash while I rotted in the wilderness despite having all the talent, this time I intend to do a couple of songs, then announce I'm going solo, kick Mark, Howard and Donald off the stage, then beat the c**p out of Robbie live on stage. That should confirm my wild, bad boy image and launch my solo career."

When asked the title of his forthcoming solo album, Gary would only reveal that it would be something like "I f**king hate you, Robbie."

The Verve Officially Have The Saddest Song

http://www.entertainmentwise.com/artists/00015473_Verve.jpg

The Verve’s seminal hit ‘The Drugs Don’t Work’ is the song most likely to make you cry, according to an expert.

Dr Harry Witchel carried out the research and claims that scientifically the 1997 hit will bring more people to tears than anything else.

The scientific tests measured people’s heart rate, breathing and skin temperature as they listened to a variety of tear jerkers.

It beat the likes of Robbie Williams’ ‘Angels’ and Elton John’s ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’ to claim the unique feat.

The full top ten looks like this:

1. The Verve - The Drugs Don't Work

2. Robbie Williams - Angels

3. Elton John - Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word

4. Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You

5. Sinead O'Connor - Nothing Compares 2 U

6. Will Young - Leave Right Now

7. Elvis Presley - Are You Lonesome Tonight

8. Christina Aguilera - Beautiful

9. James Blunt - Goodbye My Lover

10. Radiohead - Fake Plastic Trees

On the other end of the scale, Lily Allen’s ‘LDN’ was the song most likely to make people happy, while the most exhilarating tracks was Blur’s Song 2.

Dr Witchel is a physiology and music expert and carried out the study for Nokia on songs.

‘The Drugs Don’t Work’ was number one on the week that Princess Diana died nine years ago.

Hmm, I don't really think 'Angels' is very sad tbh. But it's great to see it high up on these countdowns as always. The Drugs Don't Work is a good choice for #1.
I don't think I've ever heard that song...

WHAT!!!???? :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Were they not big in the US? That's one of the most well known songs of the 90's here. Here is the video to remind you incase you have heard it. :P It's about his dad who died. :(
