I think on the whole the list is pretty good but I mean there's some real odd ones though.

I mean The Gossip? Yeah sure, it's an okay track, but one of the greatest Indie anthems of all time? No way hosay.

The list is quite ridiculous if you ask me, although I would agree on "Dancefloor" being in the Top 10, I think having 2 Libertines tracks in the Top 10 is too much, although that's just my opinion.

And I'd have included "Somebody Told Me" by The Killers instead of "Mr. Brightside".

I'd have included Somebody Told Me, over Mr. Brightside, but I think with the majority of NME readers I think they prefer Mr. Brightside as it was the first song that got people talking about them.

i prefer "somebody told me" than Mr. Brightside too

range life than cut your hair

motorcycle emptiness than a design for life

n the gossip track have no place here

etc

a lot of great anthems are missing.

but i think that the list quite works for younger fans...

I think that's what it is tbh. I'd say the majority of people who read the NME are Uni students I think this list reflects that. There's a few classic, but I mean the likes of The Gossip.

Yupp, I can't understand why The Gossip is there... it's a good song that has been successful this year, but it's nowhere near to be a classic indie anthem, if you know what I mean. Well, maybe in the future it is considered anthemic and classic, but not now, not yet.

The Gossip the 26th best Indie track of ALL TIME?

Most of that list I agree with but not in that order, too biased on recent music too -_-
