April 24, 200619 yr The Radio 2 playlist is better by a mile. Radio 1 has a thing against quality British acts & I'm not the only one to think that. I agree on both points All radio one seems to want to play is US rubbish

April 24, 200619 yr I voted for three of those Radio1 bold A-listed tracks in my BJ Hate tracks. :D So I reckon I'm anything but a hypocrite. While I have only 4 US acts in my Personal Top20 chart. Come on remember we as tax payers pay our licence fees for Radio 1 to play generic US Urban rubbish such as Chris Brown, LL Cool J/J Lo & that awful Christiana Milian track. Radio1 should be actively promoting new British or European acts at the expense of US acts. After all the USA does the reverse - remember James Blunt only made #1 in the US singles chart because of the massive amounts of downloads he sold there when he was only something like #17 in Airplay, so we should do the same as them and restrict the amount of US music we play. PS. Please go out and buy the new album by British singer/songwriter Nerina Pallot "Fires". I bought it today & it is brilliant.
April 25, 200619 yr Blaze, Boy Kill Boy and Jack Johnson are also from the US. Jack Johnson is from Hawaii. Is that in the US? :|

It's not to everyone's taste, no and things like LL Cool J and Chris Brown are hated a lot but people do like that kind of stuff and they also listen to Radio 1. I'm sure there are plenty of Radio 1 listeners that don't like your favourite songs off their playlist or my favourite songs off the playlist. No one is EVER going to like the whole of a playlist really...
