Posted May 6, 200718 yr Story The Magpies will be looking for a new boss, Glenn Roeder has resigned at Newcastle. I like Glenn , sorry this has to happen though
May 6, 200718 yr I don't think the bookies will be offering long odds on Sam Allardyce taking over will they...
May 6, 200718 yr Wish they had kept Rodent Fat Sam will make them a decent side and Newcastle doing well is not a good thing
May 6, 200718 yr Wish they had kept Rodent Fat Sam will make them a decent side and Newcastle doing well is not a good thing He'll make them clones of Bolton in my opinon, which isn't a good thing in terms of them being an entertaning team, which is what they are on their day. If Allardyce does take over, then I have a feeling that Nolan will be one of his first signings as well...

Yeah they will be boring to watch but they will also be very effective and may challenge us for 5th so naturally I am hoping that Freddie will appoint Ian Dowie or something but I fear Barcodes will be a force to be reckoned with next season

Newcastle fans won't be complaining, even if they have to play boring football. I think Alladyce should move abroad, the style of play in Italy and other European countries will suit.

The obvious two choices are Sven and Allardyce, the latter is more likely though.

Yeah wishful thinking lol I mean its just that Freddie has a habit of appointing the wrong guy - Gullit, a 10 years over the hill Bobby Robson, Souness, Rodent etc etc so am hoping he will screw up again and appoint someone who is not Allerdyce

Their whole downfall seemed to happen when he was sacked, and they've never recovered from then. Granted to Newcastle though, they've been plauged with bad injuries over the past few seasons, and that's really taken an affect on the whole team.

Yeah I was a bit harsh on Robson there lol, an absolute football legend and shame he has been diagnosed with cancer yet again :( hope he makes it through again like the previous times :)
May 6, 200718 yr Really really hope Sam doesnt go to Newcastle. I'm sure there are far bigger and better clubs Sam could work his magic on :(
May 7, 200718 yr Really really hope Sam doesnt go to Newcastle. I'm sure there are far bigger and better clubs Sam could work his magic on :( So long as he does not get the England job.
May 7, 200718 yr So long as he does not get the England job. He could hardly do a worse job than McLaren A few rumours going round this morning about Koeman taking over at Newcastle as he is resigning from PSV today
May 7, 200718 yr I think the fans would soon turn on him though tbh His style of play is not the "Newcastle way", they much prefer the all attack style and seeing balls hoofed 70 yards onto the head of a big man will soon p*** off the hardcore but his style is effective and can see them being Top 6 next season :(
May 7, 200718 yr Those fans need to start realising that a 70 yard ball has won them bugger all for donkeys, except for a silly little plate called the Intertoto  that was so embarassing to win they let a fan receive it
