TIPs Chart Singles Prediction Game

WEEK 20 in 2007!!!

 

Each week I will ask you to predict where 14 (mainly new) singles are going to be in the following Sunday's chart.

 

If it is a quiet week I will ask you to predict some records that are already in the chart rather than ask you to predict some single that you have never heard of & which will probably fail to make the Top75.

 

The point scoring will be as before (10 pts if spot on with your prediction down to 1 pt if you are 9 positions out. A 75+ prediction if correct will still be worth 5 Points).

 

If a single is pulled from release or non-chart eligible then everyone's prediction for that question will be void and everyone will be awarded 5 points. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IN THIS THREAD IF ONE OF THE SINGLES I ASK YOU TO PREDICT IS PULLED SO I CAN SCORE ACCORDINGLY

 

I will ask three bonus questions which require a Yes or No answer. Each bonus question is worth 20 Pts.

 

Therefore each week there will be a maximum of 200 Points to gain.

Most of these predictions for Sophie Ellis-Bextor are making me weep. :cry:

Whys a download not been released? Any song that's not had a pre-release download is going to suffer because it's not had chance to build up momentum for any early sales, so I reckon it will miss the top 10

I guess they didn't want to make the same mistake with 'Catch You' where they wasted away all the downloads before it was physically released and that harmed it's performance. I think this strategy will help it hang around for longer than 'Catch You' at any rate, but a good peak would be nice for it. :(

If thats what they wanted to do then ideally they should have released the download maybe on Saturday instead of the missed sales there'll be because of people waiting for the download to be added. If a songs out on Saturday on downloads it could be in the top 20 tomorrow giving it a bigger combined debut so its ironic that they'll end up missing sales this way too :o
