May 8, 200718 yr Oh I see they have selected some of the biggest film soundtracks of all time to ensnare housewives everywhere. :manson: Hope they die.
May 8, 200718 yr they make bland into an art form... from today's Scum Sun http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007210193,00.html JUST when you thought WESTLIFE couldn’t get worse, the cheesy boyband are about to sink to a new low. They plan to record an album of movie songs — with the Titanic theme the CD’s ultimate disaster. CELINE DION’s My Heart Will Go On :puke2: topped the chart in 1998 when released with the blockbuster. Now it will chart all over again as the big single from Westlife At The Movies. Talk about two monstrosities colliding. And there are other naff tunes the lads are tipped to pick. Power ballad I Will Always Love You would need a Bodyguard to save it from murder by Westlife. But as a track for the KEVIN COSTNER flick it was a WHITNEY HOUSTON hit. WET WET WET’s cover of Love Is All Around was No1 for 15 weeks as the theme for Four Weddings And A Funeral in 1994. But if swept back to No1 by Westlife it would be as a funeral march for the chart’s credibility. BRYAN ADAMS was No1 for 16 weeks in 1991 with (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, from movie smash Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves — and it seems a cert for Westlife. They have subjected us to an album of love songs and one of swing classics. But clearly these were the tip of the iceberg. The latest release is even cheesier.
May 9, 200718 yr They really are the biggest pile of c**p in the music industry. They for years have been slagged of for releasing cover ballads but they keep on doing it. Are they really that pathetic that they are now going to cover song of the biggest songs ever. They obv dont want any kind of credability. Yes they have had loads of number 1's and huge sales but in years to come they will be remembered for being the biggest joke in the industry

But so what, McDonalds shifts a load of crappy scrotum burgers, does that make their food better or more tasty than the Aberdeen Steakhouse...? I think bloody NOT.... That's pretty much how I feel about Pestlife - they are a crappy McDonalds scrotum burger....
May 9, 200718 yr At this rate they'll be doing covers albums until their kids can take over, we'll then have Westlife Juniors.
May 9, 200718 yr Lost it?? They never had it to begin with mate.... Manufactured c**p, and always was... Musical equivalent of Turkey Twizzlers Junk Food.... I'm 47,male and love Westlife. This is great news. Prefer them doing covers as I know the songs. Another huge Christmas seller then. :cheer: Oh and if you don't like them no-one's forcing you to listen to them or buy their albums. I hate the Arctics. Each to their own. Edited May 9, 200718 yr by coolchris

I dont listen to them and I dont buy their music but its just annoying that an act does well by releasing other peoples music. I must admit I quite liked them when they first came out but now they are just a joke to me
May 9, 200718 yr Another cover album?  Why oh why do their fans keep buying into this, do they really not have a clue and not see how pathetic this is? :manson: maybe it would be better covering people like brother beyond, simply red and the lighthouse family as then they will be somewhere towards making a james morrison album   I dont listen to them and I dont buy their music but its just annoying that an act does well by releasing other peoples music. thats the james morrison who releases those magic/heart/radio 2 friendly sludge rather than the trumpet virtuoso from Australia or the singer/songwriter James Morrison whose middle name is Robert, if you hadnt have already guessed   James Morrison is, by anybody’s standard, a virtuoso in the true sense of the word. Besides the trumpet, this multi-instrumentalist also plays trombone, euphonium, flugel horn, tuba, saxophones, and piano. At the age of seven, he was given his first instrument, at nine he formed his first band and at thirteen he was playing professionally in nightclubs. His international career developed equally as fast. Just turned 16 James Morrison debuted in the USA with a breathtaking concert at the Monterey Jazz Festival. Following this were performances at the big festivals in Europe – including Montreaux, Pori, North Sea, Nice and Bern - playing with many of the legends of jazz. Dizzy Gillespie, Cab Calloway, Woody Shaw, Red Rodney, George Benson, Ray Charles, B.B. King, Ray Brown and Wynton Marsalis to name a few. There were also gigs in the world’s most famous jazz clubs – the Blue Note and Village Vanguard in New York, the New Morning in Paris and Ronnie Scott’s in London. Now 37, James Morrison’s career thus far has been diverse and perhaps not typical of most jazz musicians. He recorded “Jazz Meets the Symphony” with The London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Lalo Schifrin, performed concerts at the Royal Albert hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden for Princess Anne. Royal command performances on two occasions for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and for US Presidents Bush & Clinton at Parliament House in Australia. In 1997, James was recognised for his service to the arts in Australia and awarded a medal of The Order of Australia. Apart from touring the world for most of the year James is also head of Morrison Records, an independent label dedicated to the best of jazz. He also spends much time in education, doing master classes and workshops in many countries and running a jazz scholarship. An avid user of the latest technologies James is very involved in furthering the presence of jazz and music education on the Internet and also uses computers extensively in his writing, recording and performances. When not writing film scores, composing or being patron of several youth orchestras, James relaxes in some fairly unconventional ways for a musician - competing in triathlons, abseiling, flying his private plane or driving in a rally championship. His love of cars is well known, as he was host of the national TV program “Behind the Wheel”. With interests so broad and a career so filled with highlights it seems that he has done just about everything anyone could want – not so. When asked, “What is there left to do?” His reply is typically exciting “This is just the warm up!”
May 10, 200718 yr Author I dont listen to them and I dont buy their music but its just annoying that an act does well by releasing other peoples music. I must admit I quite liked them when they first came out but now they are just a joke to me you have to know that they pay cash to cover songs....

Christ, you should really know better then Chris...... And who says I listen to Arctic Monkeys....? And your reasoning is pretty lame... You like them doing covers albums because you "know the songs"...?? Fukk man, if everyone followed that pretty stupid logic, no new songs would be written ever again.....
May 10, 200718 yr If fans continue buying their stuff, I don't think they'll be going anywhere anytime soon. Let's be real, if they continue having No.1 singles and multiplatinum selling albums neither the record company nor the members of Westlife will want to quit.
May 10, 200718 yr I dont even need to comment, its comes as no shock to me that they are continuing to be the worst act ever in the UK.
May 10, 200718 yr Oh for fukk sake. They are really talking the p*** now, enough is enough already. <_< I dread to think what this will sound like. A bunch of some of the most hated & cheesy love songs ever, being sung by possibly the most hated and cheesy group ever. :puke2: Although tbh, it's not them who we should blame. Yes of course, they have little talent and are pathetic, but if their deluded fanbase did'nt continue to get the p*** taken out of them, by continusly buying Westlife's endless covers then Louis and Cowell would not be so ridiculously lazy, and might actually put some effort into hiring actual songwriters for them. We all know Pestlife have no self respect, but their fans are far worse for not only continuing to buy into the whole scam for not one, not two but three (presuming this album is a success which it clearly will) albums full of nothing other than cover songs. -_-
