Posted May 9, 200718 yr Silverchair might have pipped Arctic Monkeys to the post in the album charts, by retaining their No. 1 position, but it seems the Monkeys didn't mind being No. 2. "I thought we were No. 5 or something, so that's great," said Nick O'Malley, Arctic Monkeys' bass player, who chatted to The Sun-Herald from Britain last week. "I guess there's always that notion of being second fiddle," he said with a chuckle, "but even if we were No. 9 we'd be happy." The band have proved they are worthy of all the hype with their new album, Favourite Worst Nightmare - it is being widely praised as even better than their first release. O'Malley said the band can't wait to come to Australia for Splendour In The Grass this year, to perform songs off both albums. "Australia and England are basically the same, it's just that your country is nicer than ours," he said, with a laugh. Source: The Sun-Herald When Nick's refering to Silver Chain, I think they're a band.  And they're talking about Australia. The last line is a classic though!

They're on a small label so they don't have the pressure of sell 300,000 copies of your new album and then be dropped. ^_^
