Oh well. They're not too bad I guess.

Klaxons - Golden Skans win for January then!

February will be up shortly cause I wanna get rid of all the months so far asap ^_^

I thought it would be a rate type thing.

I'd have picked 'Lithium' or 'Grace Kelly' to win myself though the Klaxons song + album is superb.

Can we not have the results, given that weve spent the week voting out our least favourites?

Window In The Skies' is the second new recording from the band's collection 'U218 Singles'. Recorded at London's Abbey Road Studios in September 2006, the song was produced by Rick Rubin during a recording session which also paired U2 and Green Day on' The Saints Are Coming'. B-sides include 'Tower Of Song', a collaboration with Leonard Cohen, taken from the film 'Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man'.

09 - Evanescence - Lithium

Taken from their new album 'The Open Door', 'Lithium' follows the success of Evanescence's previous single 'Call Me When You're Sober', which entered the Top 5 and heralded the return of the biggest, female-fronted, rock group on the planet.

Emulating the phenomenal success of their 14 million selling, debut album 'Fallen' was never going to be an easy task, but 'The Open Door' has quietened the sceptics. Released less than a month ago, the album has already sold well over 1 million copies outside of their native US and occupied the #1 slot in seventeen countries. Debuting at #2 in the UK, 'The Open Door' enjoyed one of the highest, week one, sales for any international album this year.

My Chemical Romance follow their chart-topping No. 1 single 'Welcome To The Black Parade' and the 250,000-selling album 'The Black Parade' with the release of 'Famous Last Words'. Produced by Rob Cavallo and My Chemical Romance, 'Famous Last Words' is the anthemic and emotive closing track that proves to be a fitting finale to the ambitious 'The Black Parade' album. Vocalist Gerard Way commented: "It's very much about redemption and someone making the choice to say 'I wanna live'.

Following the release of their superb limited edition debut single 'Recover', and tours with Hard Fi, The Ordinary Boys and fellow Welshmen the GLC, teenage four-piece The Automatic return with a second single 'Raoul'. With huge melodies married to raucous, bone-tingling punk, 'Raoul' is set to build on their debut's success.

A questioning ode to the growing Heat generation, 'Starz In Their Eyes' shimmers with a relentless energy and razor-sharp hook, it bristles with a rich, luscious house-groove and is the second track to be taken from his eagerly awaited new LP 'Overtones'.

05 - Eric Prydz vs Floyd - Proper Education

http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/DATA144CDX.JPG

This is the first time a Pink Floyd record has ever officially been cleared. Lacing David Gilmour’s caliginous vocals with an immense electro bassline, Prydz builds on the epic nature of the original, moulding it into a bouncy slice of crossover brilliance. Using both the original vocal and other musical elements of the 1979 hit, the Swedish house don gives a respectful nod to the anti-establishment aesthetics of the record, while perfectly bringing it up to date, giving it a new lease of life for another assault on the charts.

04 - JoJo - Too Little Too Late

Emotionally overwrought and utterly addictive, 'Too Little Too Late' is the lead single off 'The High Road', Jo Jo's brand new sophomore album that finds the young vocalist on the cusp of superstardom. Featuring production and songs by such in demand hit-makers as Swizz Beats, Soulshock and Scott Storch — the man who made Paris Hilton sound good — it should come as little surprise that 'The High Road' is a commercially oriented, radio-friendly contemporary pop-R&B album.

Amy Winehouse releases her new single 'You Know I'm No Good', the follow up to the brilliant 'Rehab', and taken from the universally acclaimed 'Back To Black'. The track also gets an overhaul on the remix with the additional vocals supplied by the Wu Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah.

01 - Klaxons - Golden Skans

http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/PRERELCDSKLAX.JPG

Already infamous for biting chunks out of various unlikely musical influences, spattering their lyrics with a who’s who of cult literature and then ending up with a music that’s poundingly catchy, driven and unique, Klaxons prepare their main assault on the charts with the anthemic new single 'Golden Skans'.

A hypnotically sweet pop harmony is the backbone of the track, a sweeping, shiny dream of a song that will wipe clear the presumptions of those that think they know and tickle those already in the band's thrall even deeper into their cosmos. 'Golden Skans' is taken from the band's debut album 'Myths Of The Near Future'.
