Posted May 13, 200718 yr T-shirt to become album format 11 May 2007 - 15:20:28 Source: Music Week HMV and Mercury are teaming up to run a Ryan Adams promotion, that will see a T-shirt effectively become an album format. To coincide with the release of Adams’ new Mercury-released album, Easy Tiger, out on June 25, the singer has designed an exclusive T-shirt, 1,000 of which will be available to purchase online at hmv.co.uk later this month. With each order, customers will be issued with a code that will enable them to redeem the whole album as a download through hmv.co.uk 's digital music store; the shirt effectively acting as an album format. The T-shirt, which comes in medium and large sizes, will retail for £17.99 and the album download will be included in the price. HMV is also supporting the campaign by extending its My Inspiration theme to the cover artwork of Adams’ new album. The promotion will see HMV stores and hmv.co.uk stock an exclusive limited edition My Inspiration version of the album’s slipcase. The title copy in this instance will be presented in HMV’s distinctive magenta colour, while the face of the digital watch Adams is wearing in the picture will also be highlighted in HMV magenta. To support this, HMV will be looking to run a series of My Inspiration press ads in music consumer titles. For these, Adams has selected a lyric from Oasis’ Roll With It as his most inspirational song lyric. HMV marketing director Graham Sim says, "We've been touched by the amazing response to our My Inspiration campaign, which seems to have really struck a cord with labels as well as with our customers. I am delighted that we can now take it to the next level by building it in to our marketing campaign for such a major album release." ==================================== how odd

May 14, 200718 yr Previously you couldnt give away a T-Shirt with your record as that would go against the free gifts policy that governed stickers and so. Could you give away a T with your single now theese days?
