Posted May 13, 200718 yr England lost to Spain in the U-17 Football European championships 1-0 with Krkic (of Croatian parents) scoring the victory goal. Nevertheless, it's England's best result in the age category and it allowed a first-time presence in the U-17 World Cup in Korea, due to take place this summer.

May 14, 200718 yr Author The U-17 World Cup will take place in South Korea from August 18 to September 9. For the first time it will have 24 teams (it had been 16 up to now). The teams will be: Europe: Spain, England, France, Netherlands and Germany Asia: South Korea (host country), North Korea, Japan, Tajikhistan, Syria Africa: Nigeria, Togo, Tunisia, Ghana North and Central America: USA, Haiti, Honduras, Costa Rica, Trinidad & Tobago South America: Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Perou Oceania: New Zealand And Scotland will be in the U-20 World Cup in Canada this July, grouped with Japan, Nigeria and Costa Rica.
