One thing I am certain about though - it's 100% BAD PARENTING that caused this whole thing to happen in the first place....

Spot on

What use is checking them every half an hour ? going there every half hour is a fat lot of good in a fire if Madeleine plays with matches or one of them swallows some pills thinking they are sweets or one of them falls over and hurts themselves or whatever !!

If you have young kids (3 and 2) at that time then you eat in or take them with you you dont leave them there on their own and go off and get pissed and eat pizza

Regardless of everything else they left the front door unlocked too, jeez i dont even leave my car door unlocked incase my radio gets nicked when I go out let alone leave a house unlocked with 3 kids under 4 in it !!

why did they go off and eat and drink knowing that they could not lock the house door ? knowing that anyone could walk in and just as possible one or more of them walk out when they wake up and cant find their mummy ?

In the UK what they did would have seen them in court, leaving kids unattended is a criminal offence, just because it is not the law there does not make it right

Exactly. AND when they say they consider it no different to sitting out in the garden on a summer night, they clearly dont believe that, as they kept checking on her (supposedly). If it was just like the summer evening thing they wouldnt have had to check on her, right? Silly people.

Not only that mate, but dont you think if this had been some single parent on a Housing Estate in a run-down borough that the Social Workers would've been on them like one of the Egptian plagues, grabbing the other two kids and putting them into care....? I rather think they would.... <_<

One thing I am certain about though - it's 100% BAD PARENTING that caused this whole thing to happen in the first place.... Hiring one of the resort babysitters means none of this would've happened in the first place, simple as.... I think we should stop kissing their arses and be a LOT more critical of these two idiots.... <_< And, frankly if we were talking about an unemployed single mother leaving their kids on their own at home while going out for a night out, the Tabloids most definitely WOULD be..... <_<

Let's face it, if this had happened on an Estate in Hackney or the Mile End, the sodding Social Workers would be descending like a plague of fukkin' LOCUSTS to grab the other two kids and put them into care....

agreed.

Oh 100% absolutely definitely, I have no doubt that was the case.

I know I am probably going to be accused of watching too much x files but I have another theory on the whole thing

They seem so media friendly and so media savvy and so composed so I do wonder if the whole thing was staged and pre planned and that they deliberately left the door open that night and arranged for an accomplice (friend of the family who lives in the region or something) to spirit Madeleine away to some safe location and that the whole "abduction" is one big scam to make money through selling stories to the papers, making lots of money out of fighting fund, generally being in the public eye etc etc and that in a couple of months Madeleine will be conveniently found somewhere

cant see that craig, they are well off enough arnt they?..

They would be on GP salaries (£50-75k a year) which is more than enough money for most people but many people are greedy by nature like footballers demanding £100k a week when they could more than get by on less than half that, multi millionaires striving to be billionaires and so on

The dad seems certain she is still alive.

Yeah, you're right, he should just say to the media "Do you know what, forget it. She's probably dead, let's not bother looking anymore." I mean, it's been three weeks, they should just get over it already, how dare he try and stay positive for his 2-year-old kids and his distressed wife.

The theory that they wanted to make money is even more ridiculous! I'm pretty sure they haven't made a penny out of it so far, and they're preparing to travel around Europe to raise awareness, presumably out of their own pocket.

Fighting fund, bigger and bigger fighting fund when they go on tour while she is missing, drag it out for a couple of months then Madeleine is found somewhere and then the real money comes in after she is found - media interviews, newspaper interviews, chat show deals, more than likely a book and much much more, Danny if this really is the case and they staged it then it is a licence to print money mate even an exclusive in a newspaper would net them a million +

I am not saying this is the case and they staged the abduction and conspired the whole thing to make money but it is not impossible

conspiracy theories are all well and good if theres any evidence for them, and further revelations to keep them going. however lets not lose sight of the fact that shes MOST probably been abducted by a stranger, being kept in captivity and abused. its also possible that shes been pinched for some rich cnut who wants a white daughter... she could right now be in some saudi mansion being brought up in wealth and privilege ... or she could be dead, watch the scum sites on the internet, some sick vile shyster will have a recording of the death, or even the abuse...
Apperently the parents threatened legal action against the Portuguese police in order to get them to release the new info about the man who was seen carrying a child on the night she went missing. Apperently it was due to Gordon Brown putting pressure on the police. It really is quite unbelievable that it took them over 3 weeks to give this info. :manson:

I think it is quite unbelievable that we have the cheek to interfere in the laws of other countries!!

Their police force are working within their law - if we visit their country we should accept that!

Well if your child went missing and information which could very well be vital was being kept secret by the police for three weeks would'nt you be doing everything possible to get it out? The Government are just doing everything they can to help find Maddie, and at this stage with this new info and god knows how much more the police are keeping, thank god they are, regardless of whether it is interfering with Portugal law. I would've agreed with you a few weeks back when the press were slating the portuguese so early on, I did'nt agree with that but she needs to be found, and keeping informantion like this for three + weeks is hardly going to in any way improve things.

You can't expect police to make public every piece of information Scotty

If they give out the name of a suspect the suspect will cotton on to this and flee the country or go underground or whatever and they would never be traced, it is far better police forces are left alone quietly to police and catch criminals instead of giving information to the public all the time

Well yes, in general I would agree, however this is'nt just any investigation and this seems to be quite signifigent information for so much pressure to be put on the police to release it. I think if they had've informed people about this man at first all those three weeks ago, then they would've had a far better chance of finding him and checking if he did take her, although I don't think they have his name do they? Maybe he had nothing to do with it, but if he did, then I doubt they are going to have much of a chance to find him at this late stage.

I just think though that it is better for police to quietly follow up leads away from the public eye, the only time I think it benefits an investigation is if there is a suspevt, they know him but can't find him then they go public and ask anyone if they have seen the suspect and put his mugshot everywhere but just releasing a piece of information without fully checking it out first would endanger Madeleine all the more if she is still alive

Hmmm, pity Gordon Brown doesn't get quite as pro-active over all the missing kids in THIS country that dont get the acres of press coverage Maddie has..... <_< Or does he just give a sh!t about the ones who get plastered all over the front pages...?

This is just getting ridiculous <_< <_< <_< now they have an audience with the bloody pope and are flown by private jet and limo to the vatican as if they were a bloody president and first lady

And all the jockeys at the Derby on Saturday will be wearing a yellow ribbon for Madeleine :manson: what about wearing a fukkin yellow ribbon for the THOUSANDS of kids that go missing every year in the UK ???

Sends out a great fukkin message to the parents of all the missing kids in this country that their lives are worthless and all that matters is some blonde girl who's parents were incompetent f***wits <_<

I wish they would just hurry up and find that poor child's body.

And then this media circus / farce that her parents are creating can all stop!

What the hell are a few bits of yellow ribbon going to do? Remind people she is missing - like we could forget if we tried!!!!
