May 15, 200718 yr HA! Scooch could probably sell more copies of Flying the Flag, than McFly can with their new single as a whole
May 15, 200718 yr Author I take it there is no exact position for N-Dubz then? Its at the very foot of the Top 75
May 15, 200718 yr Poor Sophie! :( I think the albums gonna flop. Good albums are flopping all the time  Joss Stone, Natasha Bedingfield, and now Sophie will probably :(
May 15, 200718 yr Author Does anyone know where Scooch are within the top 5? Cheers Its a non mover :P
May 15, 200718 yr Author Saturdays sales will much lower than normal this week, hence the FA Cup Final on Saturday, so some sales might have some knock on effect
May 15, 200718 yr Saturdays sales will much lower than normal this week, hence the FA Cup Final on Saturday, so some sales might have some knock on effect Yeah, maybe most of Sophie's fan base will be inside watching football? Hahahaha :kink:
May 15, 200718 yr WOW at the following: Scooch, Snow Patrol, Rihanna, Ukraine Eurovision entry. HURRAY for the following: The Ark, Maroon 5. I TOLD YOU SO for the following: Sophie :(
May 15, 200718 yr I agree that Joss, NB and now possibly Sophie have all had flop albums but yet overhyped $h!t like the Arctic Monkeys - keeps selling! Very disappointing for her - I expected around #15 but this is beyond terrible - bless her. :( I haven't got Linkin Park or FFAF's album yet but have heard both from a friend and WOW - I will be adding them to my collection, great to see them in the top 2. Also HA at McFly and I'm also annoyed that hellogoodbye will probably reach as high as #8 by the end of the week - such a great song, so is 'Umbrella'.
May 15, 200718 yr I hope Hanna and Serebro stay top 75 too btw. :P And can I also wonder if McFly will set a new record for lowest selling #1 ever? I believe that Ja Rule/R Kelly/Ashanti $h!t is the lowest so far [excluding the Elvis re-issues], but I could be wrong.
May 15, 200718 yr It fell 1-6. It only just managed too - it was a tough scrap between that, Eric Prydz + Daniel Bedingfield that week. I read it sold about 65,000 copies in total.
May 15, 200718 yr According to everyhit.com, Wnderful did indeed sell only 65000 copies. Not so wonderful then.
May 15, 200718 yr Mcfly are giving away a free concert dvd with there re-release of the album, so like with all of their single's there fans are running out to get it.... Will probably bomb next week
May 15, 200718 yr Poor Sophie! :( I think the albums gonna flop. Good albums are flopping all the time  Joss Stone, Natasha Bedingfield, and now Sophie will probably :( Being a bit premature arent you  Nat's has hardly flopped, and both those albums should be rescued by the 2nd singles..
May 16, 200718 yr Great, I love the chart this week... I can't believe Serebro, Elitsa & Stoyan and Koldun are all in the top 200 :-0 And as for Scooch staying top 5...it will outperform More than I needed to know to become their biggest ever hit!!!!!!!!!
May 16, 200718 yr Being a bit premature arent you  Nat's has hardly flopped, and both those albums should be rescued by the 2nd singles.. But this is what I just can't understand. And it's not just Natasha & Sophie but other artists too, who seem to rely on a second single selling the album. I can't understand why. Surely, after a long break and off the back of the PR machine in overdrive, that's the best time to hit the public and fans, with the very best radio friendly single on the album, first impressions are lasting impressions and all that guff. Of course, they need a great follow up too, but then if the album's good, that shouldn't be a problem.
May 16, 200718 yr I actually don't think Natasha's 2nd single will do a great deal for her album's fortunes. Its a nice enough song but lacks the appeal of songs like unwritten and these words I'm afraid.
