Posted April 20, 200619 yr Unlucky for Alty as they have just been deducted 18 points for fielding an inegible player. This will probably mean releagtion for them and will end their short spell in the conference. The player who they fielded was James Robinson, who used to play for Accringtom Stanley and who Accrington also fielded when he didn't have internation clearance. Accrington and Robinson are still yet to learn their fate though whilst Alty are looking at wether to appeal.
April 20, 200619 yr It's weird because the FA Cleared them yet the Conference deduct them 18 points  It's a bit harsh I think...
April 20, 200619 yr Author Yeah the conference is reallt harsh. Hardly anyone who appeals against a red card ever gets their appeal granted so knowbody even bothers to appeal anymore as if they lose the appeal its an extra game ban and seen as they'll probably lose it....ther's no point doing it. It looks like Scarbrough are safe though after Alty's misfortune.
April 20, 200619 yr I think it is a scandalous fix by the old Conference sides to protect themselves. The fact that the Chairman of the Conference committee board is not prepared to explain the decision on Radio5 Live says it all.
April 20, 200619 yr  Conference sides are always fielding ineligible players though aren't they? Forest Green are gonna get deducted points soon aren't they? I saw that somewhere I think.
April 20, 200619 yr Author York City won't as they probably can't even afford them. Were absolute skint........we can barely afford the players we have at the moment and we'll probably lose our best two players in the summer, to bigger clubs.
