Pfffft, that's a shame, considering so many were doing so well in the midweeks.
#51 is download only

Thats bad news  A terrible track that hopefully wont go top 40! :(

Poor Natasha. I hope they can bring forward the promotion for her next single by a couple of weeks to stop the album disappearing altogether. I'm less concerned for Bev. She's not the kind of artist people rush out to buy, so she could continue to sell quite steadily over the coming months and she's got some Summer gigs lined up.
Yay for Rihanna. I'm surprise Sophie Ellis Bexter didn't do better. It's a great comeback track.

Yes agreed. Also for Natasha it's important that the next single is actually good. If it then the album sales will take off otherwise the album sales could disappear.

LMFAO I read "Katharine McPhee" instead of "Katherine Jerkins" haha, I guess the mind really does see what it wants to see haha

The next single is good enough to certainly, it's just a case of whether she has enough backlash now to stop people caring altogether. :(

congratulations to mighty rihanna!! :cheer: very impressive she took on maroon 5 and beat them to #1 on downloads alone. also well done to bouncey and shakey for catching up snow patrol and over taking them to secure #3, those legs are strong well done ladies in your 7th week still top3!! :friends: on your way to 200k easy! B) and finally all out humiliation for mcfly another pathetic 2nd week performance from them  their record company should be very worried :D
As with many of McFly's singles, there was a significant drop in singles purchases in the second week. They dropped from the #1 spot down to #20. This shares the record for biggest fall from #1 with Elvis Presley's 'One Night'. However, the Elvis single was a limited edition single, whereas this wasn't.However mcfly's singles have only started signifigantly droppin in the charts because of downlaod been included in the offical singles chart. This is unfair as mcfly are an amazing band with amazing records and they are the only band in the top 40 with seven uk number 1 singles.

This made me chuckle lol.

Taken from the very reliable source Wikipedia :naughty:

Oh also a big congrats to Linkin Park on debuting at number one with their new album! It is set to be number one in America as well!
That Wiki article falls into POV violation!

From Wikipedia:

Room on the 3rd Floor

McFly's early sound was a mixture of pop and punk. Their debut single, "5 Colours in Her Hair", released March 29, 2004, entered the UK Singles Chart at number one in April 2004 and stayed there for two weeks. In July 2004 their second single, "Obviously", also topped the charts. This was followed by the album Room on the 3rd Floor debuting at number one in the UK Albums Chart. The album broke records, as McFly were the youngest band to have a debut album enter the charts in the top position, beating The Beatles. The third single, "That Girl", was released on September 6, 2004 and lost the battle for the top spot to Brian McFadden's "Real to Me". It went to number three, despite topping midweek sales charts. The fourth single, Room on the 3rd Floor (the album's title track), was released on November 15, 2004 and made number five. The idea for the album name "Room on the Third Floor" came from where Danny and Tom wrote most of the songs for the album. They wrote them while staying in a room on the third floor. This also gave them the idea for the song "Room on the Third Floor".........

THEY ARE SO HOT!!!!!!!!!

Too bad for Natasha, but I agree...IWHYB is not as good as what she's released in the past and she should have put another single out BEFORE the album, especially since she's been away for so long, having two singles before the album could have drawn more people in, if they didnt care for one or the other.

I also wish Amy Winehouses' Back to Black (single) would have charted higher than #25, but i guess in the end its a hit anyway because its most-likely the reason the album is still top 10 right now.

Nelly's Say it Right went up again after so many weeks as download only!

It's doing amazing.

Nice to see Loose in the top 15 still too!

Wow at Nelly's success! Say It Right still top 40 :yahoo:

It's not looking good for Natasha at all. I hope the second single can save her but I remember everyone being convinced that Beware Of The Dog would save Jamelia's album and that didn't happen.

its still all over the hits. no wonder then
