March 28, 200619 yr Author Good, awful band. Lovely. I thought we'd gotten rid of all the ****s with CC but obviously not!
March 28, 200619 yr Lovely. I thought we'd gotten rid of all the ****s with CC but obviously not! Hey! He was one of the good ones from there and all he said was that he thought they were awful  He wasn't trying to cause an argument but if you're going to react like that then you might. -_-
March 28, 200619 yr  Anyway, I'm really sad about this actually. They were one of the bands I was REALLY looking forward to hearing more from this year. :( I guess I'll have to frantically hunt down this track then...
March 29, 200619 yr Lovely. I thought we'd gotten rid of all the ****s with CC but obviously not! :manson: Am I not allowed an opinion? ARSE
March 29, 200619 yr Author :manson: Am I not allowed an opinion? ARSE Course you're allowed an opinion, but CC was full of idiots who were always happy whenever someone failed. Protocol had a lot of potential, and I hope they still get a chance to release their album as it's pretty decent.
March 29, 200619 yr Protocol get one star in Q magazine for their LP said it's the worst of all the 80s music rehashed into a new act
March 29, 200619 yr Course you're allowed an opinion, but CC was full of idiots who were always happy whenever someone failed. Protocol had a lot of potential, and I hope they still get a chance to release their album as it's pretty decent. well not if you are called john robinson    the full quote is "Imagine the very worst of 80s pop. Then double it!" Edited March 29, 200619 yr by tigerboy
March 29, 200619 yr Oh dear, the band have been dropped by (AKA "parted ways with") Polydor and the single's off now :( so that Q review was a waste of the jounos time then   :o

Protocol had a lot of potential, and I hope they still get a chance to release their album as it's pretty decent. I wouldn't exactly say I was happy, they aren't a band I'd ever listen to and would always avoid as I don't like them. I suppose I'm glad that they won't get to inflict any more rubbish on us though...
March 29, 200619 yr so that Q review was a waste of the jounos time then   :o  Most reviews in Q are a waste of the journo's time... they're certainly a waste of our time reading them.
March 29, 200619 yr Most reviews in Q are a waste of the journo's time... they're certainly a waste of our time reading them. however it'sd not yet in the worst albums of all time list topped by duran duran covers album
March 29, 200619 yr Most reviews in Q are a waste of the journo's time... they're certainly a waste of our time reading them. so where do you go? the independent or guardian?
March 29, 200619 yr "Imagine the very worst of 80s pop. Then double it!" Oh my god! Two Sonias!!! :arrr:
April 1, 200619 yr I just heard the song for the first time and it's amazing! It doesn't sound as much The Bravery mixed with The Killers this time, more some 80s pop mixed with Hard-Fi. It's a bit short though, is the actual track really 1.32 long or is that just the mp3 I have? :P

It's a bit short though, is the actual track really 1.32 long or is that just the mp3 I have? :P even so the words The Bravery and 80s pop has just put off all the fashionistas in pop land
