Hilary Duff and Avril Lavigne have continued their public feud, according to sources.

The pair attended the Maxim Hot 100 party this week, and deliberately scheduled their arrival times to avoid each other. However, by coincidence the two arrived at almost identical times, leading to mutual unhappiness.

Witnesses at the party claim the pair spent the evening bitching about each other, and continuously threatened to leave the event unless the other went home.

Sources noticed a "definite tension" throughout the night, and one added that Lavigne was so angry that her behaviour was "driving everyone crazy."

Does Hilary Duff actualy like anyone her age that is a female singer?

Seems to me that they're both just as bad as each other tbh... Lavigne's recent behaviour (spitting at photographers, getting her top off for sleazy publicity stills, etc...) puts her in the "going off the rails" category as well... Hopefully they'll have a b**ch fight to end all b**ch fights and end up killing each other....

I think this is bull$h!t to be honest. Avril was quoted in a magazine saying she liked Hilary's music and her style and she wanted a sound like hers for her new album. Go figure.

I prefer Avril everytime of course.

Oh no, Avril's a right spoilt brat. She comes across so badly on TV, she has no sense of humour and she just never looks happy. Girlfriend is good though! I'd rather see Hilary on TV or listen to her music every time, because unlike Avril, every single song of Hilary's doesnt not sound identical to the last! :P

*Prepares for hate from the Avril bummers *

Well put mate.... Don't fear the "Avril Bummers" though, I don't....

The only thing I disagree with you on is "Girlfriend", I totally detest that song with a passion... It's conveys a very bad message I feel (throw yourself at some bloke and split him and his girlfriend up with total "bunny-boiler" behaviour..) for her teenage fans and it's such a tacky rip-off of Toni Basil's "Mickey".... I might never really have liked stuff like "Complicated" or "Sk8er Boi", but I would put up with them.... "Girlfriend" is just totally detestable....

 Love how you phrased that!

I personally don't get Avril. She puts on this whole brat image when she releases an album, yet is the exact opposite when she's living her normal life, hanging out with Paris Hilton and listening to Hilary duff wtf

She's basically just doing what she thinks is "Rock Star" behaviour... But what she forgets is that all those guys (and girls too) who acted like that, genuinely were fukkin' dangerous and were just total fukkin animals... The likes of Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Ozzy, Courtney, etc, were total hard-core NUTTERS in their 20s, 30s, they really walked it like they talked it... Avril just puts on a show for the media - she fakes it every time...

Didn't she say in an interview with Kerrang once that she admired Kurt Cobain..? Well, talk about completely missing the point there (if indeed she was even telling the truth anyway and not just saying it to get lots of the Cobain-obsessive Kerrang teenies buying her records)... If she admired Kurt so much, she wouldn't be putting on these pathetic "Rock" postures, cos he was against all that... Totally 100% anti-image....

I agree. Couldn't have put it better myself.

I'm no Avril bummer by any means but I have to say I disagree.

Every Avril track does NOT sound the same, yeah the new album is a bit samey but to say every track sounds the same is pushing it a bit in my opinion. I do agree that Avril has been unwatchable in almost every interview i've seen her in lately and I do agree she justs looks so stuck up all the time. However, one thing you cannot deny whether you like Avril or not is that she has a MUCH stronger voice than Hilary Duff could ever dream of having, and despite me being fans of both I can clearly see that. It's like saying that Rachel Stevens has a better voice than Mariah Carey.

Yes, i agree actually, her voice is better but that doesnt make for better songs. And ok, the comparison about every song being the same was a bit far, but she certainly doesnt seem to like experimenting, which is why the album sounds the same overall as the last. And the one before that.

Jack have you heard Avril's new album?

The Best Damn Thing is NOTHING like the other 2 whatsoever. :P

Yer, i have a copy. I hate it. Ive tried to like it, i really have, but its just not good. :(
Hillary seems to think she is better then everybody else recently, especially when you listen to her new album and she talks about how she is the only one in the buisness who has dignity  . I prefer Avril, but I don't think this story is true.

Avril comes across as a total airhead in every interview I've seen of her, but I quite like her.

I'm no Hilary fan by any stretch of the imagination, but her recent album is

Well Hilary isnt the one going topless for lads' mags having claimed for years to be against using sex to sell music etc

having just watched the bonus At home with the Duff feature on the album's DVD and having watched Avrils Making The Video on TMF the other night have to say on this count, Avril wins. got bored of the dvd extra, watched the end of M.T.V. (see what they did there ).

for acting cant yet compare as my local cinema didnt show Fast Food Nation and I cant really go off a Canuck possum

as for music both are hit and miss, there are songs that i like of theres and songs that are boring.

however both look great as brunettes but as Avril's is a wig  think Hil might just win here

Avril is not topless on the cover, there's a banner over her top. and btw Blender is not a men's magazine this is the current edition at borders. so dont confuse avril with vanessa williams, blu cantrell, tiffany, deborah gibson, berlinda carlise etc etc

I didn't think it did either until I got that.

well even tho it started as an offshoot of Felix Dennis's Maxim Magazine in Borders in the UK you will find it next to Plan B, Special Ten, Relix, Big Cheese, NME, Rock Sound, les inrocks, Hotpress, Mixmag, Metal Edge,Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Zero Tolerance etc etc

next to this selection is all the film magazines and stuff like Entertainment Weekly, Little White Lies, Hollywood Reporter, Film Comment etc etc

in my local borders the men's magazine are located away from this section around the corner on the back with Perfect 10 and Playboy at the top going down to Nuts and Zoo before your are into King, Smooth and then onto Arena, Esquire, GQ and all the foreign editions of GQ.
