I've just discovered today that the Labour and Tory parties have formed a coalition to take control of my local council. And apparently this has happened in quite a few councils in Scotland following the recent elections.

It seems the left of central SNP is seen as an enemy while the right wing Tories are deemed suitable bedfellows for my local Labour Party. Keir Hardie must be birlin' in his grave.... :wacko:

Nothing to choose from these days between Cameron's Tories and B-Liar's "new labour" though, both are inches apart policy wise it is not like the Thatcher / Kinnock days etc, sadly Cameron's tories are New Labour with a blue rosette

Oh but at local level there is loads to choose from Craig. The Labour Cooncilors up this way are 'Old Labour'. Nothing Blairite about them. Most are all TU guys verging on the communist. Still, I'm sure they'll have lovely coffee mornings with the Tory matriarchs. :lol:
