Posted May 24, 200718 yr Two years on from Kylie’s cancer surgery, and it’s all a-go in Kylie-land, with Kylie’s international profile at its highest in years. LiMBO brings you up to date on the plethora of Kylie news from around the world– including exclusive new album news, and an exclusive report on a new commercial endorsement – as the singer flits across the globe in a travelling roadshow of Kylie glamour! This past week marks two years since Kylie underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumour – and in a demonstration of how well Kylie has recovered, it also marks one of the busiest periods in Kylie-land in years, with the ‘impossible princess’ holding court in multiple locations across two continents in a travelling roadshow of Kylie glamour! In the space of a week, Kylie has left New York; attended the 60th birthday party for fashion house Pucci in Florence, Italy; gone home to London; and last night attended a charity auction at the Cannes Film Festival, where she performed a surprise duet with Hollywood glamourpuss Sharon Stone, singing Locomotion and Can’t Get You Out Of My Head (pictured). Tomorrow, Kylie is expected to fly to Stockholm where she’ll continue recording for her new album. http://www.kylie.co.uk/news/archives/cannes.jpg Kylie’s busy week coincided with the revelation on her website that she’s working on a documentary called White Diamond, chronicling the Showgirl Homecoming tour, and including two new jazz-style songs: I’m Hip and You Are There. Meanwhile, short clips of two previously-unheard Kylie songs (Fall For You and Stars) have been leaked on the internet, reportedly just two of 49 unreleased Kylie tracks which have escaped the EMI vaults. Kylie’s team has yet to officially comment on the leaked tracks – if indeed it will – but LiMBO has spoken with a reputable source in ‘camp Kylie’ who had this to say: “None of the tracks from the forthcoming album have been leaked. The two clips floating around are songs that won’t make the cut.” As for the rest of the 49 ‘leaked’ tracks, the song titles of which have been posted on the internet: “Some of these song titles are unused tracks from the Body Language and Fever sessions – and a lot of them just don’t exist at all.” Make of that what you will! In related album news, LiMBO has received a report from another source that the two Boy George tracks mooted for the album will not make the cut. Kylie and EMI are said to feel that the songs –co-written by George and London songwriter Amanda Ghost – are ‘not quite right’ for the album. However Kylie is keen to have George involved in the project, and is interested in recording a well-known Boy George/Culture Club track for the album as a ‘tribute’ to George. Kylie is said to be aiming for songs with ‘meaningful’ or ‘interesting’ lyrics, put to commercial sounds, for the new album. “Musically, the brief has been described as Fever meets Impossible Princess meets the Scissor Sisters and Mika,” LiMBO has been told. “She’s going for a mix of harder dance sounds; some lighter camp, glittery numbers like White Diamond; and several songs specifically designed to showcase her voice. It will be a diverse album, but all held together by Kylie’s great pop sensibility.” In other Kylie news, the pop princess is reported to be in discussions with Singapore construction group Frasers Property, to open their new Sydney apartment project, Lumiere, upon its completion later this year. LiMBO understands that Kylie will open the Norman Foster-designed building, currently under construction in Sydney’s city centre (pictured here), at a gittering party in September, but will not be performing at the event. Kylie is believed to have secured an apartment in the building, sure to be a valuable addition to her large stock of investment properties in Australia and around the world.

May 25, 200718 yr I'm quite excited about this. Sounds like a real mix of stuff and will hopefully be one of the biggest albums of the year when it comes out. I think there's going to be alot of hype regarding this album when it finally surfaces.
May 25, 200718 yr Excitement is building. :D I hope it's released by the end of the year, that would be amazing. If it is released by the end of the year, all I will say is Kylie now has her work cut out to get my album of the year. :P
May 26, 200718 yr I would rather the album to release at the beginning of 2008, March or April, so that she has a chance to top the end of year chart in 2008, rather than some of sales in 2007, and some in 2008. In addition, it would give her some more time to record the album which is highly anticipated.

I would go to as many as I could! So expensive to try and afford tickets and airfare and hotel and such to go see Kylie across out of the states, especially when I'm just working with a $7.25 an hour paycheck working only 30ish hours a week. lol But I've been saving! I know one day at least one time I'll see her! (Hopefully more than that though. lol)
