Knebworth is closer, 25 minutes at the most if travelling by train from Kings Cross. Find it strange that Knebworth hasnt really been mentioned much as an alternative venue.

I just assumed Knebworth was much further away.

Why choose MK Bowl then (as you say)?

Of course I think he sold about 70,000 tix a night for Wembley. MK Bowl holds about that. But Knebworth holds about 125,000 or something doesn't it?

If he opted for Knebworth he'd need to sell thousands more tix.

Unless he cancels a couple of the shows and does 3 nights at Knebworth. But that can't be right either as it said on the Official Site all original tix would still be valid for the same dates.

Maybe it's 70,000 at Knebworth with enough space to bring your own deckchair.

I read somewhere, can't remember where now though that more tickets would be made available for the new venues as there were many disappointed fans unable to get tickets when they first went on sale. I think it may of been on one of the headlines when the support bands for the tour were announced for the summer leg.

Knebworth would certainly be able to hold extra ticket sales then, and maybe we could also be able to bring deckchairs, barbecues and crates of beer!

And sunloungers and/or parasols.

Now that would be lovely. So civilised.

I think we've cracked it Sparkle. Lets E-Mail his Management Team.

70,000 at Knebworth with lovely personal space to bring all mod-cons.

Oh and room for lots more Bogs!!!! Yipeee!!!!

Or instead of deckchairs, each of you take a Commode. You won't need to move off your backside all day.

I don't think the 5 gigs will be held @ Knebworth.

Tom mentioned in his blog that they are looking for a venue that can hold 65,000 people for 5 nights.

Milton Keynes capacity is 65,000.

deleted post.

Should be hearing one way or another very soon..but my money is on Milton Keynes.

It's going to be such an anti-climax if it's the MK Bowl isn't it?

I think fans are beginning to expect some amazing announcement because of the time delay. Like he and his management team are going to come up with a 90,000 seater stadium near London that we all forgot existed when we were considering the options

From what people have been saying I really hope it's not the Bowl but it is looking the most likely. :(

Maybe the delay has been more to do with the ticketing arrangements than the actual 'booking' of the Bowl. ie what do they do with the IS members who were guaranteed better situated seats? what about those who paid for top quality seats at Wembley? should they have a Golden Circle? If so, who should get access? etc etc.

Hopefully we'll know by the end of this week.

So it's the MK Bowl then :(

Is there going to be a Golden Circle for I.S. members or what?
