The singer has also acquired rights to music by Shakira, Beck and Bjork in a deal with Viacom for his company. Jackson already holds the rights to the copyright of The Beatles, and is proud of his new accomplishment, Famous Music LLC. "This is a milestone event for Sony/ATV Music Publishing," he said in a statement. "The diverse collection of songs in this catalogue range from timeless classics to contemporary hits, and I am pleased to add the acquisition of Famous Music to Sony/ ATV." How do you feel knowing Michael Jackson is earning money out of songs he had no part in writing?

Sony/ATV Music Publishing - which is 25% owned by Jacko - is buying Famous Music from Viacom in a deal worth nearly £200 million. Famous has more than 125,000 tracks on its books, including music by Slim Shady as well as Beck and Bjork.

If I was Eminem or Shakira or whoever I'd be pretty pee'd off :lol:

Yeah is there really any difference in this case between Jackson or someone like Edgar Bronfman Jr or Guy Hands??? Btw theres still quite a few cats to buy so more stuff might come under this venture as well: Zomba UK, Zomba USA, Rondor and 19 Songs.
