I've got to say as a Liverpool supporter I hope I'm proved wrong but I think Rafa has wasted a load of money signing players who don't have the extra quality that Liverpool need & are certainly not worth the money they have spent this summer :(

Same. Babel is good but he's a gamble. And £27m for Torres or whatever it was, AND £9m a year wages - ridiculous.

Really think that Spurs will overtake you for 4th, they've made signings that really do improve their team.

West Ham doing good business so far. Selling distictly average players for lots of money. Benayoun, Reo Coker, Conchesky.

Fulham & Wigan have signed a lot, perhaps they won't go down then. Still, both have c**p managers.

I hope you are right ^_^

But with the exception of Bent we have bought young prospects (Bale, Kaboul, Boateng (soon), and so on) as opposed to players that will immediately strengthen the first team so I think realistically we are 2-3 years away from being serious Top 4 contenders till the youngsters come good

Two years ago you lost out on the final day. Last season you were what, 6-8 pts behind? And that was only because it took so long to get used to actually playing. There's a lot of difference in progressing far in three competitions than being the first Premiership team for years to be knocked out of both domestic cups first time of asking

Oh I thought last season on balance was a big success ^_^ but the previous season I think we were flattered a bit by Arsenal having a poor season as opposed to us having a great one and I think it would take something similar to break into the Top 4 tbh, I would love us to make CL but I still think there is a sizeable gap in quality between the Top 4 and us squad wise so am hoping that Arsenal or Liverpool have a poor season as I dont think we are quite there on merit yet

Anyway, Arsenal have signed Right-Back Bacary Sagna, which apparently means Emmanuel Eboue is going to be filling the hole left by Ljungberg in midfield, which means in the injury room or on the bench

Or La Sagna as he'll be called to annoy Spurs fans :naughty:

Sunderland have signed Chopra for £5m now.

Sheva might possibly be on his way back to AC Milan if the reports in today's papers are true...

C*nt :manson: :manson: :manson:

We're also apparently close to singing Hearts keeper Gordon and we've beaten Man City in signing Richardson

THANK THE LORD.

If you're referring to Kieron then he really has no hope in football. If Fergie couldn't stop him from not giving a sh*t about the game then nobody will. Utterly useless.

Real Madrid have signed Jerzy Dudek on a free transfer as well now.

He was annoyed at the fact he didn't get to play much at Liverpool so he goes to Real Madrid? Yeah figures...

Mido to Birmingham for £6m :cheer: :cheer:

Football really has gone mad price wise if we managed to get £6m for the pie eater

Steve Bruce was moaning about how much prices are blown out of proportion the other day, now he spends 6mil on Mido   Great for Spurs ^_^

that's called a bigger wage packet syndrome  as evidence with players such as Zenden and Viduka

shame he's only got a 1 year contract - the money will soon dry up

He's signed a 2 year contract. :o But I agree, he's only gone there for the money and he'll only play reserve games and when Casillas is injured/suspened.

:o he might just be able to afford a spanish castle

West Ham have signed Freddie Ljungberg from Arsenal.

Not sure whether Arsenal will miss him that much, seen as he seemed to spend more time on the sidelines last season rather than on the pitch.
