Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum?

I feel I'm suited to moderating this forum because I have a growing love for R&B music! Up until perhaps a year ago I listened mainly to pop but now the large majority of my itunes seems to be R&B and so many of my favourite artists of all-time and of the moment are R&B singers, and so I feel my love for the genre is appropriate.

What do you feel you would bring to the forum?

Several things; for one, any R&B news regarding new singers, singles, albums etc from the biggest R&B stars, as well as games and countdowns etc. I recently conducted an R&B countdown to establish the favourite R&B singer of the members of Buzzjack which has gone considerably well.

What experience do you have?

I post in the R&B forum a lot and co-moderate both the Jamelia and Joss Stone forums here on Buzzjack.

How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week?

I'm on every day for a good few hours :P

Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum?

Of course! I'll happily use my writing skills to post interesting news articles and reviews on latest musical activities, concerts etc.

Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum?

Well I personally enjoy a whole range of R&B/Hip-Hop and soul music, my music tastes in that particular genre range from Beyonce, all the way to Chakka Khan, I'm quite easy with my music tastes and I know what I like. I would love to be given the chance to moderate a forum because I have the patience and skill to, and also I would like the learning aspect to it.

What do you feel you would bring to the forum?

Well, I know I wouldn't be able to bring good art to the forum (banners), however I'd like to know that I could bring exciting new/returning artists to the forums, get others interested in new artists and I'd like.

What experience do you have?

I hang around the different forums a lot and I like to keep myself updated with the latest singers/songs, but apart from that, not v. much.

How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week?

Like 4 hours a night, I think..But you see I float through different sites.

Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum? If you post news already - please provide a link to one story

I would be able to, if the oppertunity came.

U2 Forum Mod

Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum?

I have been a massive U2 fan for over 20 years. I have all their albums, concert DVDs, have read books on them, seen them in concert, visited their old studio in Dublin. They are the soundtrack to my life really. Despite what people probably think, U2 (and not Robbie) are my No1 musical heroes.

I am one of the very few regular posters in the U2 Forum and know most of the other posters there really well. Oh and I go to Ireland on my holidays a lot. And I like Guinness. :w00t:

What do you feel you would bring to the forum?

I genuinely love U2. And I love the people who post in the forum. I have a lot of knowledge of U2's music and a lot of enthusiasm. I also like to think I have good people skills and a good sense of humour. :w00t:

What experience do you have?

I have been Moderating the Robbie Forum since April 2006.

How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week?

Far too much

Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum? If you post news already - please provide a link to one story**

I can waffle at great length on any topic. Writing articles on U2 wouldn't be a problem :teresa:

Position applied for: Lounge

Member Display Name: Tyron

Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum?

I'm interested mainly because I enjoy posting in the Lounge and reckon I could do the job well ^_^ I'd bring a unique perspective as I'm involved with many different groups of people on Buzzjack, so I'd be able to see many sides of any issues that came up. In addition to this, this would also enforce impartiality as I couldn't really place any of the groups above each other and wouldn't be able to take one rule for one and one rule for another. All in all, I'd keep the forum running straight, and as I'm generally on Buzzjack most of the time it would receive a lot of my attention,.

What do you feel you would bring to the forum?

In all honesty, what can one bring to the Lounge that they haven't already? I'd bring a light-hearted modship, I'd let people have their fun but get things under control if they got out of hand. I'd try to ensure that the Lounge retained a friendly atmosphere, but attempt to retain a balance between keeping the friendly atmosphere and letting people have their say and have open views on something, if you see what I mean ;) Oh, and I'd bring new topics to it to revitalise it during any dead periods but I doubt this counts as I'd probs do it anyway even if I wasn't mod

What experience do you have?

Well, I'm Personal Charts, Gaming and Black Eyed Peas mod, and I've been a mod since September last year so I've got quite a bit of experience on the modship front ^_^

How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week?

I spend pretty much most of my online time on BJ - during holidays that's usually at least 6 hours a day, if not more, and even when I'm at school I'm on at least 3 hours a day ^_^

Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum? If you post news already - please provide a link to one story**

Is this relevant to the Lounge?

Position applied for: Lounge

Member Display Name: CASS

Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum?

I've moderated with both David and Rooney before and am good friends with both, have a healthy relationship with most of the memberbase in the Lounge and have previous experience in modding the forum [in one of its most troubled times - Dubsgate]. Proved on many occasions also that I am impartial and WILL lock unneccessary threads regardless of the topic starter.

What do you feel you would bring to the forum?

Basically everything that I already bring but on a larger scale. Fun, vibrance, excitement, interesting topics, topics to get people talking. As well as that I am online a lot of the time so could watch over any potential troubles to the forum.

What experience do you have?

Previous Lounge mod, previous Indie mod, current sports mod, current AF mod.

How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week?

Online everyday. Post in the Lounge everyday.

Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum? If you post news already - please provide a link to one story**

I'll post some dead good topics. Just ask Rooney, we have loads planned for Monday :magic:

Position applied for: Indie-Rock

Member Display Name: Damon

Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum? I'm interested because i have a lot of knowledge of current mainstream and non-mainstream indie and rock. If i had to choose forums to mod, this would probably be in my top 3, and i'd like the chance to work with Scotty again.

What do you feel you would bring to the forum? New topics on a wide range of artists, to try and cater for people who like well known and less well known stuff. And i'd try to keep things up to date with new music videos every day and new topics every day.

What experience do you have? Personal charts, B/G, Killers, ex U2.

How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week? A lot.

Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum? If you post news already - please provide a link to one story* - Yep i'd like writing about the artists in the Indie-Rock forum.

Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum? Indie's my favourite genre. All of my most fave bands are indie/rock

What do you feel you would bring to the forum? Activity more than anything else. I'd try and keep it up-to-date with discussion about latest single and album releases from indie bands. Try and stimulate a bit of interest in the genre

What experience do you have? Blur/Gorillaz Forum mod for 8 months Oct 06-June 07, Coldplay Forum mod for 4 months March - June 07, Razorlight Forum mod May 2007 -

Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum? If you post news already - please provide a link to one story**

Yes, I have already written a 300 word news article for my Razorlight forum which attracted several thousand views. I'd be more than willing to write another for Indie forum as I feel i'd have plenty to write about.

Mine is the Razorlight example used by Jason which appeared on Google News

Position applied for: Indie and Alternative

Member Display Name: tigerboy

Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum? I'm interested in doing it as the music I buy the most falls into this cat and i think the forum needs to better reflect the true scope of the alternative music genre and all the great bands that are out there, and not just the so-called mainstream pop rubbish thats clogging up 'The Hits' day in and day out.

Not just indie-rock, but all kinda things that can be classed as alternative. the kinda things covered by the NME, Clash, Plan B etc etc

and will make sure that every other topic is not about Tokio Hotel or the Fray

What do you feel you would bring to the forum? I will try to target the posts to an intended demographic and make it more focused, so people wont be complaining that its too pop (which is 95% of what happens now!!!).

What experience do you have? Mod of the film area and the 'adult contemporary-singer-songwriter-random area' ie the culture box

How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week? loads (however this depends on how the forum itself is running and whats being posted)

Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum? If you post news already - please provide a link to one story** isnt this more about the artist areas rather than general, however always on the look out for news and new things.

Position applied for: Christina Aguilera

Member Display Name: John Esteban

Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum?

I have been a Christina fan since her very first single. She is probably my second favorite artist, my first being Shakira, and I'm always interested when I hear news about her/her music. Lately I haven't posted in the Christina forum, but before my vacation I used to be a regular poster. Obviously if I become mod I'll post news and stuff about Christina.

What do you feel you would bring to the forum?

I would bring it my loyalty and try to moderate it as I have done my other forums, updating it as I hear relevant news about the artist. I would also try to revive it a little bit, because it seems a bit dead.

What experience do you have?

I've modded Justin, Maroon 5, and The Book Corner/ Harry Potter.

How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week?

A bunch. :heehee:

Are you willing/able to post self-written news articles (250 - 350 words per article if something interesting happens) about the singer/band to promote your forum? If you post news already - please provide a link to one story**

I haven't done one yet, but I would. ^_^

Position applied for: Indie Monkey

Why are you interested and suitable to moderating this forum? Indie is my favourite genre and has been for the past 17 years. I feel the indie forum has lost its way somewhat recently - many posts remain unanswered and a lot of 'spam' seems to have found its way in there.

What do you feel you would bring to the forum? A vast knowledge and a keen eye on what's up and coming.

What experience do you have? I've looked after and written for my own site Culturedeluxe for the past five years. I moderate my own forum and was a moderator for three years on the Get Your Bootleg On web forum. I've been to at least a thousand gigs.

How much time do you spent on BuzzJack per day / week? On every day, the indie forum is always my first port of call.
