Posted June 13, 200718 yr The top ten teen movies, seen on another site: The Breakfast Club (1985) The Karate Kid (1984) American Graffiti (1973) Varsity Blues (1999) Sixteen Candles (1984) Footloose (1984) Grease (1978) Rebel Without A Cause (1955) 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) Pretty In Pink (1986) Would you agree with these or would you replace some with other films. Honourable Mentions: Ferris Bueller's Day Off Mean Girls American Pie Scream Risky Business Gregory's Girl
June 13, 200718 yr "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is a vastly better film than about 70% of that so-called "Top 10"....
June 14, 200718 yr Why oh WHY is Heathers not in that list yet Mean Girls is? There would be No Mean Girls if it wasn't for Heathers. I LOVE the Breakfast club. the best teen films did come from the 80's I'd say. Teen movies today try to hard to be funny and make the teens seem like cartoons.
June 14, 200718 yr Why oh WHY is Heathers not in that list yet Mean Girls is? There would be No Mean Girls if it wasn't for Heathers. well seeing as brian hasnt creditied the site where he has cut and pasted this list we dont know what the target is. also there's probs loads of other great teen movies that could be discussed here? Kids??? Brick?? Battle Royale??? Mysterious Skin?? Virgin Suicides??? Ghost World??? Donnie Darko??? and even Napolian Dynamite?? that list is quite obv innit, the usual suspects made to fill up space and be a crowd pleaser without giving it much thought. was it AOL???
June 14, 200718 yr 10 Things I Hate About You was rather pants imo. Ferris should be Top ten. Grease is great of course  But The Breakfast Club definately deserves the top spot ^_^
June 14, 200718 yr 10 Things I Hate About You was rather pants imo. omg how can you say that!?!?!? i love tha film. imo something you can watch again and again on itv2 and not get bored. same with bring it on
June 14, 200718 yr Agreed - what the f*** is Varsity Blues? The only really good teen movies of the late 90s - early 00s were Election and Ghost World...the others tend to be 'gross out' or too plastic. I'd add in Three O'Clock High to that list - an obscure film from about 86 or 87 featuring Casey Siesmako (the ultimate non-speaking cronie of 80s gangs) and Richard Tyson. Look it up on imdb - I love it...no-one else does though...
June 14, 200718 yr omg how can you say that!?!?!? i love tha film. imo something you can watch again and again on itv2 and not get bored. same with bring it on i dunno i just didnt like it  but Bring It On  Thats a great movie :D
June 14, 200718 yr Varsity Blues is total c**p :( It shouldn't even be in the top 1000 teen movies. 10 Things I Hate About You is really good though.
June 15, 200718 yr Why oh WHY is Heathers not in that list yet Mean Girls is? There would be No Mean Girls if it wasn't for Heathers. I LOVE the Breakfast club. the best teen films did come from the 80's I'd say. Teen movies today try to hard to be funny and make the teens seem like cartoons. Totally agree... "Heathers" is the bomb..... "Mean Girls" is just a fire-cracker and a rather pale imitation of "Heathers"..... And Lindsay Lohan is certainly no Winona or Molly.....
June 15, 200718 yr Ferris Bueller's Day Off is really funny. Is Fast Times At Ridgemont High any good? Because I've just got it but haven't watched it yet.
June 16, 200718 yr The top ten teen movies, seen on another site: The Breakfast Club (1985) Watched the Breakfast Club last night, good but compared to more recent films their soundtrack always seems to be missing loads of music, think there should be more indecental music and pop hits. Feris Bueller is just amazing  Oh Yeah!! such a good time, a really good time  axDqvfmz2x8
June 19, 200718 yr Is Fast Times At Ridgemont High any good? Yeah, some real iconic scenes, 'real life' issues and some good laughs (although none are 'gross out') You can also play spot the future celebrity and wonder what happened to the careers of Judge Reinhold and Phoebe Cates.
June 20, 200718 yr Yeah, some real iconic scenes, 'real life' issues and some good laughs (although none are 'gross out') was reading about this in ew. will find it later
August 26, 200717 yr Totally agree... "Heathers" is the bomb..... "Mean Girls" is just a fire-cracker and a rather pale imitation of "Heathers"..... watching 'Mean Girls' after Bratz just realized how moralistic 'Mean Girls' actually is. nearly as bad as My Name Is Earl  (Bratz obv just shamelessly commercial advertisment based on Mean Girls and like a zillion others films from the above list) fast times i think on this week
